Fu Yixuan returned home and the first thing he did was pick up alcohol wipes to carefully disinfect his hands. Then he walked to the bathroom, squeezed out some hand soap, and meticulously washed his hands.
He kept his head down, his face expressionless, cold.
After completing this routine, he finally calmed down, took out his textbook, and started looking at today’s assignments.
He was naturally intelligent, always ranking first in the class, but he never slackened. He would study until eleven thirty every night.
But today, after studying for just over ten minutes, he heard a rustling sound coming from the door.
It sounded like a small animal scratching at the door.
There were quite a few physics assignments for the day. The young man chose to ignore the sound, lowered his head, and continued working on his assignments.
The one causing mischief at the door was, of course, Tang Qing who had “escaped” from the cardboard box. Following his kitten instincts, he persistently scratched at the cardboard box, eventually making a hole.
So the little kitten squeezed out of the hole, dragging his weak, pitiful, and helpless body, and slowly and hesitantly returned to Fu Yixuan’s door.
Because the little kitten was really weak, he couldn’t knock on the door like a human. He could only scratch at the door one by one, creating a noise.
He was very meticulous, using the blunt side of his nails to avoid damaging the door, in case the villain opened the door and saw his door scratched by a little stray cat, leading to the heartless act of throwing the cat out again.
Click, click, click…
Click, click, click…
Click, click, click…
A few minutes later, the young man inside the house sighed silently. He put down his workbook, closed the pen, walked quickly to the living room, and opened the increasingly loud door.
The little cat on the floor immediately wrapped its front paws tightly around the young man’s pants leg, raised its tail tip, widened its pair of black-beaded cat eyes, and slightly tilted its head, trying to act cute.
‘Look at me, hug me, take me home!’
The little kitten screamed in his heart.
In reality, since this kitten had just been born not long ago, its eyes hadn’t fully opened. Yet, in Fu Yixuan’s eyes, the kitten still looked like a silly little ball with barely open eyes.
The young man took out a white towel, lifted the kitten in the same manner as before, walked through the hallway, and arrived at the neighbour’s door.
“Goodness 99, is this villain truly ruthless and heartless? Is he going to take me back again? Waaah!!”
Tang Qing was on the verge of tears. He had just managed to drag his weak, sickly body back to Fu Yixuan’s door, and now he was going to be taken back to the neighbour’s door?
It felt like going back to square one.
System 99 felt helpless and could only try to comfort him: [Host, don’t cry! Keep working hard to be cute, try to make the villain keep you!]
Ignoring the struggling kitten in the towel, Fu Yixuan walked straight to the neighbour’s door and knocked a few times.
“No one, no one, no one…” Tang Qing silently prayed that no one would answer the door.
Perhaps the neighbour heard the kitten’s plea, as Fu Yixuan knocked for a while but no one came to answer the door.
Tang Qing breathed a sigh of relief.
Following the system’s advice, he began adjusting his posture, posing cutely, trying to showcase his charm to Fu Yixuan.
“Hello, evil villain, won’t you get to know this adorable kitten a bit?”
The young man looked at the strangely postured kitten in his arms and furrowed his elegant brows slightly. He pressed the kitten a bit tighter, his eyes cold and indifferent, then lightly patted the kitten’s butt, saying in a low voice:
“Behave.”
Indeed, the cuteness of the kitten was of no interest to the villain.
“Wuwu 99, he’s cold and heartless, he even smacked my butt…” Tang Qing complained to the system, shaking his fluffy little butt, looking sad. Though the smack wasn’t very painful.
After knocking on the door again and confirming no one was there, he put the kitten back in the box and walked away with it.
“99! Is he taking me home?” Tang Qing asked eagerly, his little ears perking up happily.
[Well, who can resist the temptation of a kitty, right?] The system replied evasively.
It had a vague feeling that things weren’t so simple, but it couldn’t bear to say it.
Passing through the cluttered hallway, Fu Yixuan really brought the torn cardboard box and the kitten back home.
He placed the box on the floor, filled a basin with hot water in the bathroom, and wrung out a hot towel.
Laying down an old mat, he placed the kitten on it. After some thought, he turned on a small electric heater in the house, put the kitten at a moderate distance, then carefully dried the kitten’s whole body with the warm towel.
He was truly meticulous, wiping every single hair on the kitten from head to toe, even to its little tail, until each strand was spotlessly clean by the young man.
After being cleaned thoroughly, he was placed near the warm little electric heater. Having been in this cat form for so long, Tang Qing felt comfortable for the first time. Every pore was warmly opened, every cat hair was clean and fluffy, making his whole body feel light and refreshing.
He finally couldn’t resist the instinct of being a cat, licking his clean little paws, rolling over, and stretching lazily.
It was so comfortable.
He instinctively started grooming his fur.
It was really hard to suppress the cat’s instinct to groom along the fur.
The young man went back to the room and returned with a bottle of alcohol, his expression cold and indifferent.
“Oh 99! Isn’t this villain too antisocial? Does he really want to spray alcohol on a little kitten?” Tang Qing was scared, his entire cat self almost jumping up.
But because he had no strength in his body, the kitten was futilely pressed down on the mat by Fu Yixuan, his face full of refusal.
“Don’t come near me!!!”
“Meow! Meow! Meow!”
Fu Yixuan, with a blank expression, grabbed one of the cat’s paws, took the alcohol spray in his other hand, sprayed it a few times on the cat’s paw, and then wiped it dry with a towel. Following the same procedure, he carefully disinfected the other three paws as well before finally setting the kitten down contentedly.
Once he confirmed the kitten was clean, the young man extended his hand, gently caressing the round and fluffy cat head several times.
Warm and soft, with a velvety touch.
The young man withdrew his hand, his expression cold and desolate, and walked towards the kitchen.
The little kitten, looking pitiful and distressed, lay on the mat, lamenting, “Wuwu, 99, I’m dirty. I’m dirty!”
The system comforted him: [Host, you’re not dirty, this is the cleanest you’ve been all day.]
Tang Qing, with a deep and melancholic expression, continued licking his fur: “99, you don’t understand, he touched my head, patted my little butt, and checked my whole body. I’m not the same me as before.”
The system truly didn’t understand.
After all, what housecat wouldn’t be petted a few times?
The young man tinkered in the kitchen, then brought over a small bowl of warm goat’s milk and placed it in front of the little kitten, his expression indifferent.
Wow! Warm goat’s milk!
Tang Qing had been in this form for so long and hadn’t had a single drop of water to drink. His little belly was growling with hunger. His eyes lit up as he pounced in front of the goat’s milk.
The little cat buried his head in front of the small bowl, raised his two front paws, and began to extend his pink tongue, lapping up the goat’s milk mouthful by mouthful, drinking it with little grunts.
After eating and drinking his fill, the young man placed the little cat and the mat together in a cardboard box, then brought over a small towel to cover the kitten.
Soft mat, clean towel. The little cat was delighted, deciding to take back all the foul language he had hurled at Fu Yixuan earlier.
Today was the first day of transmigration, this body was particularly fragile, and after walking a short distance by himself, he was already very tired.
Finally managing to approach the villain successfully, the little cat lay contentedly on the mat, unknowingly slipping into a sweet slumber.
…
A dreamless night.
Early the next morning, Tang Qing fluttered his eyelashes slightly, waking up slowly. He sneezed softly, licked his paws, washed his face, and then slowly opened his eyes to look around.
Huh? Why did it feel a bit unfamiliar?
“99! Where is this?” Tang Qing was stunned, finding himself in a strange little room.
How did he not wake up at Fu Yixuan’s house?
The system replied softly: [Host, last night you were in such a deep sleep that nothing could wake you up, so the villain took you, along with the cat and the box, and brought you down to the security room.]
