“Honey, are you looking for your owner?”
Lu Zeyu held the heavy cat in his arms and opened the door.
“Be quiet, your owner might still be sleeping in.”
He had been quite intense last night, and it had gone on until the early hours of the morning… When he left in the morning, he saw Tang Qing still with his eyes closed, sleeping soundly.
He admitted that he had lost a bit of control last night.
But can he really be blamed for it?
He had always thought that Tang Qing had been with many others before him.
So each time, he made a special effort to showcase his skills and stamina, trying out different things every night without repetition.
He had been secretly competing with those non-existent men for a long time.
Last night, Tang Qing unintentionally revealed the truth, and he realized how far-fetched his misunderstandings had been.
No wonder every time they were intimate, Tang Qing always seemed flustered, his tongue clumsy and shy, especially on their first time, when the young man’s reactions were so cute and inexperienced, like a budding flower, endearing.
And last night, he was finally able to follow his heart, abandoning all the complicated moves he had seen online.
Driven purely by instinct, he passionately sought out pleasure.
Thinking about how Tang Qing blushed and bit his wrist last night, unable to hold back a moan.
He couldn’t help but smirk slightly.
“Good boy, your owner had a tough night last night, don’t disturb him.” The man gently admonished while petting the cat in his arms.
The cat rolled its eyes sneakily.
You know I had a tough night too, right? But why wouldn’t this man stop when he had called out multiple times last night?.
He devoured him completely, and now he’s pretending to be considerate.
Big bad wolf, hmph.
Lowering his voice, he opened the door.
But inside, there was no one to be found.
“Tangtang?” The man walked into the room and quickly searched around.
A strong sense of unease washed over him.
He briskly went through the entire house, confirming that the young man was no longer there.
The door had been securely locked, yet the young man had vanished into thin air.
The man stared at the empty house, a shadow crossing his eyes.
“Assistant Li, help me find someone.”
Lu Zeyu made a phone call, instructing people to keep an eye on the airport, immigration points, and also to watch over the Tang residence, the film set, and any other places Tang Qing might appear.
His face darkened, as if Tang Qing might disappear in front of him at any moment, never to return.
Does Tang Qing still dislike him?
Alone in the study, he didn’t even turn on the lights, just staring into the darkness, his eyes filled with shadows.
The house was the same as before, with only him in it.
Suddenly, he felt overwhelmed by a sense of powerlessness.
As if in these few days, the young man sitting on the couch watching TV, sadly rubbing his belly, was just a figment of his imagination.
Would Tang Qing never come back? Once this thought arose, Lu Zeyu felt like all warmth within him was being drained away.
For some reason, he had a strong sense of insecurity, always feeling like someone would snatch Tang Qing away from him. Perhaps it would be Tang Qing’s brother, Gu Minghao, the briefly encountered Yi Qihan, or some other man.
They could all potentially take Tang Qing away from him.
Even without these people, Tang Qing might suddenly leave.
This overly charming and cute young man seemed almost out of place in this world.
Movie Emperor Lu, leaned back in his chair, his vision starting to blur.
He slouched on the couch, the dim light in the room casting a slightly forlorn profile of him.
It seemed that over the years, the sense of emptiness he had always tried to ignore had never truly dissipated. It was like a parasite lurking in the depths of his heart, waiting for the right moment to strike and then devouring him unguarded.
He was alone again.
Suddenly, he stood up and pushed all the decorations on the bookshelf to the ground, creating a loud noise.
He casually grabbed a photo frame from the shelf, holding it high.
“Meow!”
The golden cat quietly leaped onto the shelf, meowing at the man a few times.
Seeing the cat, Lu Zeyu paused his actions, slowly placing the photo frame back in its place – it was the last picture he had with his parents.
Frowning, he walked up and gently picked up the little cat:
“Honey, be careful.”
The kitten obediently nestled in his arms, extending two soft front paws to rub against his chin. Lu Zeyu’s hand happened to rest on the kitten’s belly, feeling the warm breath of the cat, the fluffy fur gently rising and falling with each breath.
He was momentarily lost in thought, his expression softening slightly.
“Sorry, did I scare you?”
Lu Zeyu lifted the cat, burying his face deep in its luxuriant golden fur, one hand slowly stroking the cat’s back. The delicate fur slipping through his fingertips gradually helped the man regain his composure.
“And you’ll stay with me, right?”
The cat extended its paw, affectionately hugging the man’s neck.
Tang Qing thought to himself, ‘Alright, alright, as long as you don’t relentlessly torment my poor waist, I guess I can bear staying with you a bit longer.’
Suddenly, the man seemed to remember something. He lifted his head, staring at the cat in his arms.
“Tangtang must really like you, huh?”
Tang Qing felt his whole body tense up under his gaze, unable to stop feeling guilty.
“Meow?”
He couldn’t have found out, could he?
It’s impossible… Normal people wouldn’t even think about that.
“Meow~”
The cat made a soft and sweet sound, tilting its head and charmingly showing affection.
Lu Zeyu reached out to pat the cat’s round head and said meaningfully, “Honey, you’re such a good cat.”
Then he suddenly regained his calm expression.
He picked up his phone, turned on the camera, and said, “Honey is so cute, we haven’t taken a photo together yet.”
Huh? The man, who was still acting crazy, suddenly wanted to take a picture.
The cat was puzzled by the man’s sudden idea, looking at the phone in disbelief.
The man didn’t care about angles, he just pointed the camera at the cat and took several shots.
Looking at the photos on his phone, he selected one where the cat was cutely tilting its head, looking confused with its eyes wide open, and started editing the post.
The cat reached out with its small paw, tugging at the man’s sleeve.
Hey handsome, aren’t you supposed to focus when taking photos? Your handsome face has turned into a blur.
“Honey, good kitty.”
The man comforted the playful cat with one hand and confidently posted on social media with the other.
【My cat at home.】
After posting, the man eagerly refreshed the comments section.
Tang Qing watched the man’s actions, feeling confused.
Did Lu Zeyu love reading fan comments so much? It was said that in the past, he only reluctantly posted a casual post to appease his manager, not even showing his face, and it instantly crashed the server.
But he himself seemed indifferent to it, posting and then casually uninstalling the app.
Immediately, a comment appeared.
【Isn’t this my cat?!】
Lu Zeyu immediately clicked on the comment and then saw the full text.
【Isn’t this my cat?! Husband, you took photos of our cat without telling me, so mean~~】
Lu Zeyu expressionlessly scrolled to the next comment:
【Such a cute cat!! This adorable kitty, what sack colour does it like? Every color is prepared, just waiting for the cat to crawl in.】
【Is today a holiday? Movie Emperor Lu, if you’re being kidnapped by your manager, just blink.】
【Honey, your photography skills really need improvement, if it weren’t for your good looks, who could handle it?】
After reading through each comment and private message, he disappointingly closed the social media app.
“Xiao Li, I posted on social media. Log into my account, pay attention to the comments and private messages to see if anyone claims the cat is theirs and wants it back.”
“Oh?”
Assistant Xiao Li listened to Lu Zeyu’s instructions, looking at the adorable cat in the post, with a somewhat dark expression.
For this kind of cute post, weren’t the comments all like “so cute”, “this is my cat”, “what pouch do you want?” Why pay attention to this?
Ignoring Xiao Li’s confusion, Lu Zeyu hung up the phone.
The man then lifted the cat, which was still peeking at the phone and scratching at the post, and held it close.
“Do you think he might not even want you?”
That night, Lu Zeyu held the cat tightly as they slept together.
The next day, Lu Zeyu arrived on set early in the morning, carrying the cat in his arms.
He went straight to Tang Qing’s assistant director’s resting room and opened the door.
Naturally, there was no sign of the young man inside.
Cang Xiaoshu was busy cleaning up the props in the theater. After Tang Qing failed to show up for work, Cang Xiaoshu, who was originally Tang Qing’s assistant, was reassigned to help out on set by Gu Minghao due to his good nature and diligence.
“Cang Xiaoshu, has Tang Qing contacted you?”
Cang Xiaoshu looked up, glanced at the serious Lu Zeyu, then cast a puzzled look at the golden cat on Lu Zeyu’s shoulder.
Wait… isn’t that on Lu Zeyu’s shoulder?
“Meow~”
The cat softly meowed a few times towards Cang Xiaoshu.
Although Cang Xiaoshu was somewhat naive, he was still quite intelligent. He immediately remembered that Lu Zeyu was not part of their “circle”.
So he glanced at Tang Qing, shook his head, and said, “When was the last time you saw each other?”
“It was the last time at the set, Movie Emperor Lu, you were there too.”
Cang Xiaoshu looked at the two of them, completely clueless about what these humans were up to.
Lu Zeyu nodded, held the cat tightly, and left the rest area.
“Hey, my movie emperor, you finally remembered you’re an actor, huh? You voluntarily came to work.” Gu Minghao, busy and flustered, had just sat down to take a sip of water when he caught a glimpse of Lu Zeyu’s figure in the distance and couldn’t help but tease in a mischievous tone.
Lu Zeyu didn’t respond to him but directly asked, “Have you seen Tang Qing recently?”
Hearing Lu Zeyu’s serious tone, Gu Minghao raised his head and saw the cat Lu Zeyu was holding in his arms.
“Pfft…”
Gu Minghao almost burst out laughing, struggling to hold back the water in his mouth from spraying out.
Trying hard to contain his laughter, his face twisted in a strange expression, he said to Lu Zeyu, “N-no… nope.”
Lu Zeyu looked at Gu Minghao skeptically, then followed his gaze to the cat in his arms.
The cat innocently blinked its eyes, its big eyes shiny and cute like glass beads.
What mischievous thoughts could a cat like this have?
