Of course, Yi Nuo didn’t believe the old dragonfish’s nonsense, but he couldn’t find a way out, so he had no choice but to go back with the two people before making plans.
At this time, the Empire was almost turned upside down because of his disappearance.
The attack took place in the most prosperous business area of the Imperial Capital. Many people saw it, and even some innocent citizens who passed by were implicated. Dozens of people were killed or injured.
In addition, some people who were not afraid of death recorded the scene and posted it online, causing many people to panic.
The citizens didn’t know the inside story, they only knew that such a vicious attack could happen in the business area of the Imperial Capital, which was known as the safest city. It was simply terrible.
Has the murderer been caught? Are the people from the Security Department of the Imperial Capital eating dry food1To be incompetent, useless; good-for-nothing? The situation was finally stabilized by the Space Force stationed in the Imperial Capital. Is the Special Security Department just a display?
While the people condemned the attackers, they also questioned the Emperor.
Scott was so angry that he even vomited blood.
As soon as he was discharged from the hospital, he learned about Yi Nuo’s abduction and almost went back to the hospital again.
“What are the people in the Special Security Department doing? Tell Li Xiao to come and see me!”
Li Xiao was the head of the Special Security Department, and he was the one who gave the green light when Yue Zhan and Yi Nuo wanted to see the old turtle.
After learning about the stupid things Freeman had done, he was so angry that he wanted to hit him on the spot.
“Are you out of your mind, or are you stupid? Major General Yue asked you to block the port, why didn’t you do it? Do you think you know a lot and have experience? Have you been on the battlefield? Do you know that the attackers are probably not humans, but orcs, or people from the Sea Country? Do you have any experience in dealing with them?”
Li Xiao didn’t save him any face. He directly scolded Freeman in front of all the people in the emergency response team of the Special Security Department. He was still angry after scolding and said, “I don’t know what the people above thought when they made you the leader of the emergency response team.”
Freeman thought he was the boss, and the people protested because of this incident, so he tolerated being scolded a few times. But he still couldn’t hold back, and said in a choked voice, “I was wrong, but it’s too much for you to say that. You are dishonoring my integrity!”
“Dishonoring your integrity?” Li Xiao almost laughed angrily, and said, “It seems that you still don’t know the seriousness of the matter. Let’s not say that the little prince was kidnapped; dozens of citizens were killed or injured because of your untimely handling. You wait to be dismissed and prosecuted.”
After speaking, he pushed the person away and walked out with a calm face.
Li Xiao felt that he was also unlucky. Freeman was born into a noble family and had been transferred to the Special Security office for less than a week. He was usually arrogant and looked down on this and that. He originally thought that this person had a family background, so it would be difficult to get rid of him, or else he would use him after tempering his temper. Who knew there would be an accident before he was tempered.
After scolding Freeman, he sighed and had to rush to the Palace to be scolded.
When Scott saw him coming, he scolded him severely, and then asked, “Has that Freeman been dealt with?”
Li Xiao understood, and hurriedly said, “He was dismissed immediately, and he is under investigation and prosecuted for serious dereliction of duty.”
Scott gritted his teeth and said, “You should have given him two shots on the spot.”
After finishing speaking, he asked, “Is there any news about Yi Nuo’s whereabouts?”
“That…” Li Xiao said cautiously, “We are contacting the Space Force and plan to form a joint case-handling team.”
In fact, Yue Zhan took all the people who were caught away and left none for them. He called several times to apologize, but he failed to get through. It is estimated that the other party did not intend to let the Special Security Department intervene.
Scott closed his eyes and finally said, “Then let Yue Zhan investigate. The people in the Special Security Department will deal with the aftermath.”
Li Xiao knew they hadn’t done well enough, so they angered Yue Zhan. To put it bluntly, he also wiped the ass of the Special Security Office. They couldn’t say much, so he hurried back to deal with Freeman.
Yue Zhan hadn’t closed his eyes for several days and nights. He kept staring at the unmanned ship being tracked down, and his heart gradually became calm from the initial uneasiness.
After tens of thousands of checks, they finally determined that a suspicious spaceship landed on the Starfish Field, but it quickly disappeared.
Yue Zhan’s heart sank, and suddenly said to the adjutant, “Let the 7th, 9th and 11th fleets stand by and follow me to the Starfish Field later.”
The adjutant was slightly startled when he heard his words, and subconsciously asked, “Aren’t you going to take a break?”
“Take a rest on the way.” Yue Zhan got up and went straight out.
“But without the above’s permission, such a transfer…” The adjutant followed behind him with a worried face.
Before he could finish speaking, the command hall was suddenly quiet. Yue Zhan stopped, looked at the source of the silence, and found that the Emperor had arrived.
He didn’t move, nor did he salute like the others, but just looked at the other party quietly.
Scott didn’t say anything and wasn’t shameless enough to do so. After all, it was his subordinate’s mistake.
“How can we chase down the terrorists hiding in the Starfish Field, with only four fleets?” Scott said, directly characterizing the matter as “arresting the perpetrators of a major terrorist attack in the Business District”, and said, “I signed a special order, and the Military Department has passed it. Major General Yue, please capture these criminals and take them back to the Empire for trial.”
Yue Zhan shook his head, then nodded, and said, “Your Majesty, take a step into my office to speak privately.”
Scott frowned but agreed anyway.
The two quickly entered an office, closed the door, and Yue Zhan said, “Your Majesty, it is not appropriate to bring too many fleets on this trip.”
“What do you mean?” Scott asked.
“You and I both know that the people who took His Highness away are from the Sea Country. According to my observation, the Sea Country has no intention of going to war with the Empire. His Highness may also be mediating this matter. At this time, if we rush to lead an army to suppress the border, it will be disadvantageous to His Highness.” Yue Zhan analyzed, with a tone that could not hide his tiredness.
Scott was silent, he thought of Li Ya and finally nodded in agreement.
Yue Zhan felt relieved, and said, “Since His Majesty has no intention of going to war, can you give me the old turtle to deal with for the time being?”
“That turtle?” Scott said, annoyed at the mention of the man, “What do you want him for?”
Yue Zhan said, “He is from the Sea Country, maybe he can help us find the way to the Sea Country.”
“Will he say it?” Scott was very skeptical.
Yue Zhan: “No matter if he says it or not, we have to find a way to pry it out.”
This was also true.
Scott immediately nodded in agreement. Before leaving, he suddenly patted Yue Zhan on the shoulder heavily, and held the other’s hand tightly, “You must, you bring Yi Nuo back.”
At the end, his voice even trembled slightly.
Yue Zhan was not moved by the Emperor’s true feelings, but when he thought of Yi Nuo, his eyes darkened, and his hoarse voice was a little restless when he said softly, “I will.”
The Emperor patted him on the shoulder again. Before he left, he suddenly remembered something, and hurriedly said, “By the way, there is someone you have to take with you.”
Yue Zhan frowned subconsciously and then heard the Emperor say, “His name is Hu Yichen. He has recently improved the underwater combat system of the mecha. However, it is too late to upgrade the mecha now. I want him to go to the ship and upgrade as many mechas as he can.”
It turned out to be him? Yue Zhan thought to himself.
He knew that this person was talented, not to mention that he was recommended by Yi Nuo, so after thinking about it, he nodded in agreement.
When ready, the fleet quickly set off. As the commander-in-chief of the Third Group Army, Yue Chuanlin also approved this trip.
On the way, Yue Zhan encountered the Star Thief Group of the Eldest Princess.
The Eldest Princess somehow knew about Yi Nuo’s kidnapping but didn’t know where he was taken. She guessed that Yue Zhan would definitely go to rescue him, so she simply waited outside the Star Gate to gather information.
Knowing that she had good intentions, Yue Zhan advised, “If Her Royal Highness wants the Sea Country to think that we are going to war, and thus implicate His Royal Highness Yi Nuo, then go ahead and bring so many fleets.”
Eldest Princess: “…”
She hesitated for a moment and finally brought only the elite fleet.
However, not long after they set off, she found that although Yue Zhan only brought four fleets, there was still a large force behind them.
The Eldest Princess thought to herself: This is obviously to…be respectful before fighting. It’s insidious enough. I must never confront this kind of person in the future.
But thinking of Yi Nuo, she quickly became anxious again.
At this time, Yi Nuo had spent nearly ten days as an ascetic monk in the Sea King Palace.
He couldn’t contact the outside world here; he could only use the Sea Country’s local area network. The dramas made by the Sea Country people were particularly boring and not bloody at all.
The food that sea people eat is seaweed, kelp, shrimp, crab, fish and shellfish…
Although the seafood was delicious, he was also tired of eating it every day. Not to mention that he lives in the Sea (water) Palace and cannot make a fire to cook it, so he only eats sashimi.
On this day, Yi Nuo vomited for a while, dropped a few pearls, pursed his lips, pretended to be uncomfortable, and said, “I’m not feeling well, I don’t like to eat these.”
After a pause, thinking that the people from the Sea Country were looking forward to the birth of the little fish treasure, he lied a little guilty: “Maybe little fish treasure doesn’t like to eat it either.”
His Highness couldn’t eat because of morning sickness and vomit? How could this work?
The sea people in charge of serving his daily life panicked and reported to Zhang Yu.
Zhang Yu wisely chose to not show up recently, but when he heard that Yi Nuo didn’t eat well, he immediately became worried and went to discuss it with the old dragonfish.
“Could it be that he’s not used to the food in the Sea Country?” Zhang Yu frowned.
Although he had lived in the Empire and the Federation for decades, he was still not used to the food of the Empire and the Federation, so it was likely to be the case.
The old dragonfish twirled his beard and said, “It’s possible, alas, if only the old turtle was here. He brought up Princess Li Ya, so he must know how to raise a mermaid.”
“Otherwise, let His Highness move to the underground palace, which is similar to a human city, where you can light a fire.” Zhang Yu suggested.
The old dragonfish thought for a moment and said, “That’s the only way to go.”
So, after living on the coral reef for a few days, Yi Nuo moved again.
This was exactly what he wanted.
He found that most of the sea people in the Sea Palace had primitive living habits. After wandering around the Sea Palace for so long, he didn’t find an underwater spaceship.
From this, he infers that the passage was probably not in the Sea Palace, but in a place… without water.
Thinking about it, the seabed was not suitable for the development of high-tech manufacturing, especially for the manufacture of airships and mechas.
The Sea Palace looked more like a resort palace. The real core area of the Sea Country was probably what they called the Underground Palace.
Of course, Yi Nuo didn’t show much eagerness. After he successfully moved to the palace, he still maintained the previous frequency, asking three times a day “How is the passage repair going?”, and when he heard that there was no progress, he would sigh and start ordering food.
“Your Highness, the life here is the same as that of human cities. There are even ground ingredients that are transported by air. You can ask the chef to cook whatever you want.” The old dragonfish held a small book and introduced it to him carefully.
The small book was the notes left by the old turtle when he raised Princess Li Ya. This was valuable first-hand information on how to raise a mermaid. The old dragonfish had been studying it very seriously recently, even more seriously than when he studied mecha weapons in his youth.
Yi Nuo glanced at Zhang Yu and said in a premeditated tone, “Recently, I’ve been craving spicy food. Maybe it’s the little fish treasure who wants to eat it. Alas, is it okay to add more cumin and make the squid rings spicier?”
Zhang Yu: “…” What are you looking at me for? I’m not a squid.
