As he stood at the side watching the Omega secretary show off, Ji Chen was itching to shred him to pieces.
Ji Chen: “Have you never drank coffee before? Look at you making a fuss over a little coffee.”
Omega secretary: “Don’t exaggerate, Ji Chen! I’m just thankful for the young master’s consideration.”
Xu Yunchun: “Stop fighting! Just drink the coffee and relax!”
Right then, Wei Xiu returns. Omega pheromones are already naturally unstable, but exposure to S-rank alpha results in an even stronger pheromonal reaction. Right now, the secretary is emitting the tiniest amount of pheromones, ones you can’t smell unless you get really close.
Then, an idea pops into his head.
Still holding that cup of coffee, he uses Wei Xiu’s arrival as an opportunity to approach him and pretend to take his documents for him. Suddenly, he trips over himself.

As a person of ancient times, Xu Yunchun is particularly interested in these plotlines that modern people mock as cliché. His eyes brim with excitement at the chance of seeing such a scenario play out in real life.

Here’s what the omega planned to have happen. He falls towards Wei Xiu, Wei Xiu politely catches him and smells his pheromones. Then, the alpha would brutishly carry him into his office and get busy!
It turns out that would all stay a fantasy in the Omega secretary’s head. Ji Chen sees through the whole scheme and jumps in to stop him.
The scene is chaotic; one beta enthusiastically enjoying the show, one omega putting on a soap opera’s performance, another omega itching to tear apart a wolf in sheep’s clothing, and one alpha being treated like a prop.
The Omega secretary manages to trip himself and fall in Wei Xiu’s direction. But Wei Xiu smoothly moves aside, perfectly evading him and not at all aligning with his plans.

The secretary falls and right as he is about to hit the ground, Ji Chen grabs him and is pulled down by him.
Xu Yunchun: “Wow!”
Wei Xiu: “Why did you come here? You hungry?”
Xu Yunchun: “I came to see what all the fuss is about!”
Wei Xiu turns around and sees the two people on the floor, just a bit baffled by the situation. To Xu Yunchun, he says: “Come inside when you’re done.”
The two are just laying, a mess on the floor looking particularly pathetic. And Wei Xiu had no intention to help them up at all, leaving them feeling so embarrassed and frustrated that they start yelling at each other.

They barely get a few words out, before they both stop.
Ji Chen’s eyes widen: “You…”’
Breathing heavily, the secretary looks at him, his bright red face drawing a victorious smile.
Due to their close proximity Ji Chen knows the other is in heat as soon as he smells his pheromones. Within seconds, he figures out his plan.
“You’ve got some guts…”
The secretary jumps up and rushes towards Wei Xiu’s office.

The secretary opens the door. The next second, a piercing alarm rings out.

Unsure of what’s happening, the secretary moves forward stepping into Wei Xiu’s office.
Xu Yunchun: “Run! That’s a…”
The sound of electricity resonates, and the secretary falls to the floor, shocked unconscious.

The secretary couldn’t have predicted that the device Wei Xiu had him install on the door that day was Xu Yunchun’s mobile chastity device.
As for that chastity belt with way too many features, Wei Xiu went from a hater to a lover, so much so that he got really into the device, even making some of his own requests. He thought that having the device only attack after the pants were pulled down was too slow, giving the assailant a chance to have a peek. So he hoped that Xu Yunchun could make a portable device as a precaution against unexpected dangers.
Eventually, Xu Yunchun added the heat detection feature; as long as a person in heat enters the zone of alert, the device’s alarm will go off, and electrocute the other as protection.
And so, although the Omega secretary wanted to demonstrate **** in public, a Haitang world specialty, what he ended up showing was getting electrocuted in public.
Within the office, Wei Xiu calmly addresses the others: “Anyone who wishes to enter my office must first assess the condition of their body, or else they will face the consequences.”

After the Omega secretary is taken to the hospital, Xu Yunchun enters the office without a word. Right outside, Ji Chen hesitates for a long while, then finally passes the device with great caution and fear, entering the office.
Right as he enters, he happens to hear Xu Yunchun say: “I don’t like either of them, don’t marry then, young master.”
Wei Xiu: “Ok, whatever you say.”
Ji Chen: “???”
The fate of his marriage can really be decided by a beta just like that?

Seeing the other two pay him no mind, JiChen lets out a bitter laugh.
“Wei Xiu, this beta can’t soothe your rut,” he says, “unless you remove your glands, you will be begging for me sooner or later.”
Hearing this, Wei Xiu is shocked: “What did you say? Say that again!”
Ji Chen delights at finally getting a reaction out of Wei Xiu.
Ji Chen repeats his venomous villain line: “I said…unless you remove your glands, you will be begging for me sooner or later.”
Wei Xiu laughs.
Wei Xiu: “Ji Chen, thank you.”
Ji Chen: “?”
Wei Xiu: “ It turns out it was possible to remove my glands this whole time. I never knew.”
