Chapter 1

Xu Yunchun died a wrongful death, yet, in death, gained a canon fodder system.  With this system, all he needed to do was complete  missions, help fight the main character, and accumulate enough points. Then, he could finally choose a new world to reincarnate into.

“The missions are hard, take your time,” another migrant warns, “Even taking 6 months to complete your first one is considered quick.”

Yunchun thanks him for his insight and then clears the mission in a month.

“I Became a Rich Housewife and Got Back at My Ex-husband by Becoming a Viral Streamer in Intergalactic Space”, this was the first book Xu Yunchun entered.

His character was a seductive side piece who was trying to boost his social status. The mission was to pester the MC’s Supreme Commander husband, get kicked out by MC, become the biggest laughing stock in all of intergalactic space, and improve the MC’s relationship.

Random migrant: “How did you accomplish pestering, becoming a laughing stock, and improving their relationship in just one month?”

Xu Yunchun: “I just hid under the Supreme Commander’s bed, in his trunk, in his closet, in his fridge, and even squeezed myself into a package that was sent to him.”

Random migrant: “Are you sure you didn’t scare him out of his mind?”

Xu Yunchun: “Oh, I did. He completely lost his mind after I imprisoned him. Then when MC saved him from captivity, he dubbed MC his savior and refused to leave MC’s side.”

Random migrant: …

Forget canon fodder, this guy must be some kind of super villain.

Between missions, migrants gather in the migration hall to chat.

Migrant A: “In my past life, I was a celebrity. I drowned during a drama shoot.”

Migrant B: “I got hit by a truck while walking in the street.”

Migrant C: “I got sick and died.”

Xu Yunchun, looking triumphant: “I died from a stray arrow.”

Without a doubt, he has the showiest cause of death.

Random person: “Were you a villain in your past life?”

Xu Yunchun: “My young master was a general and I was simply a common guard who served him. However, the young master must have already rebelled and become emperor by now.”

Random person: “Wouldn’t that definitely make you a villain then?!”

But Xu Yunchun wasn’t actually a villain. He was raised by Wei Xiu as a child and then became his servant. Once he grew up, he assumed the position of Wei Xiu’s guard joining him in miscellaneous quests and on the battlefield.

Eventually, Wei Xiu was framed and the Emperor, who already was not fond of him, took it as an opportunity to have his residence surrounded. Xu Yunchun discovered this and broke through the forces with Wei Xiu. While the two were escaping, Xu Yunchun was hit by a stray arrow and killed.

As Wei Xiu’s personality would never let him leave such an injustice alone, by this point, it was likely he had already started a rebellion in vengeance.

Deeply moved by the closeness between master and servant, they all believe Xu Yunchun was not a villain.

Xu Yunchun: “However, my master certainly has the potential to be a villain.”

Xu Yunchun had learned several deprecating ways to describe Wei Xiu: stone-faced, clean freak, bull-headed, callous, princess-tempered, old virgin, crabby, cold-blooded..

…one who wouldn’t cast a glance even if the cutest cat or dog crossed his path…

… a big pervert…

…a face that would make all children cry.”

When Xu Yunchun is done talking, the other migrants don’t say a word.

It seems they were all shocked to silence by Wei Xiu’s austerity.

Someone asks: “What…did you say his name was?”

Xu Yunchun: “Wei Xiu.”

The same person: “Like Wei as in ‘to defend’, and Xiu as in ‘to cultivate’?”*

Xu Yunchun: “How did you know? Is he that famous?”

The same person: “Well, he’s standing right behind you and it’s written on his name tag.”

Xu Yunchun turns around to see his spoiled bratty old virgin of a young master.

* The second character of the word ‘to defend’ (保卫 bǎo wèi) and the first character of the word ‘to cultivate’ (修身xiū shēn) form Wei Xiu’s name. This is a common way to clarify the characters of a person’s name as there are many homonyms in Chinese.
