The height of stupidity, I’m not sure if it’s a cultural thing or just really a human thing but people tend to really nitpick a person’s choice in choosing the field of work and education.
You can be curious about the decision, you can even admire their dedication in having a degree but still working in an Industry that doesn’t need it.
It’s not impossible to have both smarts and brains and it is also not impossible that a person wants to be a graduate and have a successful career being an artist. Don’t make it so negative. It’s impressive not “a waste” nor a lost opportunity, just plain admirable and maybe a little enviable too.
