“The stretcher is over here, come and help out. Be careful!”

“Bring over a blanket to cover him. We’re lucky it isn’t winter yet. Otherwise, it would be a problem if this goes on.”

A group of doctors and nurses surrounded a drenched body and were kept occupied. A nurse gripped a handkerchief to her eyes as she cried, “Master, how could you not think straight! Waahh!”

The person on the stretcher scrunched his nose, his voice intermittent. “I… I don’t have any worth staying alive…”

“How can you not have any worth!” The nurse threw herself on top of him and cried. “If you were to really give up, all of us would follow you to the grave! Master, you have to remember us!”

Another young master in the asylum, poker-faced Comrade Shu Wen, was laid on the stretcher. His face was ashen and his lips trembled. “I don’t…don’t want to…I have no worth being alive…” Tears flowed from the corner of his eyes as he sobbed mournfully. “Just…just let me go in peace…”

Everyone watched him with pained looks on their faces, wondering: exactly how much influence did that prince have within the asylum?! Whenever he acted out, everyone else in the institute seemed to be experiencing a calamity as well! The staff exchanged dejected looks.

“This is already the third time. Are there any methods that can stop him from throwing himself into the pond?! How strong is his attachment at this point?!”

“Say, does he really not have any fear of dying? Three times weren’t enough and he still says that our rescue is too timely? How about we let him float in the water for a while before rescuing him next time?”

“Floating longer is of no use. We can’t let anyone drown in this pond! Moreover, what will we do if something happens because he was in the water for too long?”

“Then…” One of the nurses feebly raised her hand. “If there’s really no other way, we should just tie him up…”

“Boo hoo, do you think I don’t want to!” Comrade Shu Wen’s primary attending doctor spoke up bitterly as tears streamed down his cheeks. “Firstly, the director wouldn’t approve of it. Secondly, this young master has a background we cannot afford to offend. We will be finished if his family finds out. In an ordinary hospital, we would be able to use sedatives, but our actions here are strictly regulated. We aren’t allowed to use any sedatives unless the patient is severely out of control. God knows how much I really wish I could knock him out!”

“…” Everyone stopped whatever they were doing and fell silent. Then, they simultaneously turned towards Shu Wen’s primary doctor as their eyes lit up.

The primary doctor immediately felt his entire body shudder. “What… what are you all looking at me for? Do you guys want to eat meat? I’m not Xuanzang1 The monk from Journey to the West who was constantly terrorized by demons and monsters because they thought his flesh could grant immortality !”

“No, that’s not it.” A nurse had an expression of utmost admiration as she looked at him. “Doctor, what did you just say?”

“What do you mean, what did I just say?” The doctor pondered for a moment, “I just said that the director wouldn’t allow it and that this young master background is special. Why?”

“No, the later part. The last sentence!”

“The last…” The doctor stared into the sky and mulled hard. He suddenly remembered saying ‘knock him out’ and came to the realization. He stepped to the side and bit his fingers feebly while eying the others. “That was just an off-hand remark, you all wouldn’t…”

Everyone nodded their heads simultaneously before someone said seriously, “Actually… this is also an option…”

“…” The primary doctor’s face twitched as he stared at them. “Well then, who will do it?”

Everyone immediately fell silent. You must be joking, who would dare do it? They followed the stretcher towards the interior of the institution and gathered around the primary doctor with bright smiles. “You are the primary doctor, you are the best, the greatest!”

“Yes, yes, your psychological tolerance is the best and your mentality is the strongest~”

“…” The primary doctor spoke, “What you all are trying to say is that I should do it right?”

Everyone immediately covered their faces bashfully. “Aiya, don’t put it this way. We are all sharing the woes and difficulties with you…”

“…”

As they discussed, the unsteady voice was still coming from the stretcher. Comrade Shu Wen gazed at the soaring birds in the sky and choked up, “Just let me die…”

That nurse continued to bawl, “What will happen to us if you go?”

“Nothing. You… you all can… rely… on welfare…”

The nurse sobbed even harder.

Shu Wen consoled, “The Eighteen Subduing Dragon Palms is…is amazing…”

As they quickly walked inside, they passed by a pavilion. There were quite a number of people there, including a very familiar voice singing leisurely. The tune ‘Injustice to Dou E’ was sung as the staff within the pavilion prostrated on the ground and wailed. Above the ruckus, miracle doctor Chu’s voice could still be heard, “Please wait for a moment, madam. I will instruct someone to get the medicine.”

All of the crying staff in the pavilion immediately gasped. “Your highness, our master is insensitive. Please show mercy!”

“Yes, your highness, please be merciful…”

The staff around the stretcher immediately staggered and turned pale. What…? The prince was here?!

“Quick…quick…” Shu Wen’s primary doctor clutched his weak heart. “Let’s go quickly, we mustn’t let our master get upset again…”

They turned around to leave but Chu Jian had unfortunately caught sight of the stretcher through the crowd. As a miracle doctor, his duty to save the common folk was activated and he immediately rushed over. “Stop right there!”

The bunch in the distance froze and turned their heads. All they saw was Chu Jian rushing over and grabbing the side of the stretcher. “What happened to you? Are you sick?” He didn’t listen to anyone as he grabbed Shu Wen’s wrist, placed two fingers on his vein, and pondered deeply.

Shu Wen croaked faintly, “Just stab me with a knife and let me die…”

The staff looking after Chu Jian didn’t even need to guess what he was going to say next as they had heard the same reply over and over again regardless of their gender.

Miracle doctor Chu Jian let go of Shu Wen’s wrist and spoke calmly, “No worries, it’s a rapid pulse. Madam, you are expecting.”

Chu Jian’s tailing entourage rolled their eyes. See… the result was expected.

The staff that were with Shu Wen were momentarily dumbfounded before nodding away. “Thank you, doctor. We will take note.”

Miracle doctor Chu waved his sleeves and turned away. “It was nothing, don’t mention it.”

The staff expressed their gratitude once more and prepared to leave. However, Shu Wen, who had repeatedly tried to kill himself multiple times, suddenly grabbed Chu Jian’s shirt and asked in disbelief, “What…what did you say?!”

Shu Wen’s medical entourage held their breaths as they thought to themselves—What’s going to happen this time? Is it going to be another fatal blow?

Chu Jian didn’t pay any heed to their ashen faces and replied calmly, “Madam, you are pregnant.”

“I… I…” Shu Wen let go and slumped back on the stretcher. After a while, he finally spoke in a trembling voice, “I am expecting?”

“Yes.” Miracle doctor Chu Jian nodded. He noticed Shu Wen’s soaked clothing and added, “Madam, you have to take care of your health. You must absolutely avoid wearing wet clothes in the future.”

“Very well, very well.” Shu Wen nodded vigorously and gently rubbed his own belly. “I will definitely pay attention to your advice. Definitely. I will stay far away from the pond. Mhmm, I will have to search the web for more information regarding my pregnancy and look after myself properly.”

Shu Wen’s medical entourage were all stunned. This young master of theirs that drove them insane had actually been easily persuaded to see the light with just a simple sentence. On top of that, he was even going to start paying attention to his health.

Decades of strenuous studies had all been a wasted effort. They all turned towards the primary doctor and said with a shaky voice. “Doctor, shall we hold hands and jump into the river?”

The primary doctor nodded with a ghastly look on his face as though he had been utterly defeated. He croaked, “Alright, let’s go jump into the river. To the river we go. Right now…”

With looks of despair, the whole group turned to leave. Meanwhile, on the stretcher, Shu Wen waved. “Doctor, I will take my leave first~”

Chu Jian nodded. “Please take care, madam.” He then turned around and headed back as well. His attendants back watched sympathetically as their fellow colleagues entered the institution before turning their attention back to Chu Jian. However, they shivered immediately upon seeing that their master had already calmly walked up to Long Junhao. Aiya! Is he desperately trying to court death?!

A clever nurse hurriedly attempted to divert everyone’s attention before their master could speak. “May your highness have good health.”

Long Junhao knew her intention and lackadaisically grunted in acknowledgment. He casted a sweeping gaze at Chu Jian. He had vented some of his displeasure after having sentenced this person to a flogging. Therefore, Long Junhao was currently in fine spirits and couldn’t be bothered to bicker with him.

Naturally, Chu Jian was oblivious to the meticulous efforts of his subordinates. He opened his mouth to speak, “Mada…”

“Your majesty, may I know why we are being honored by your presence? Men, serve the tea,” the nurse hurriedly cut in. She wiped away the cold beads of sweat on her face and took a step forward. “Your Majesty, what kind of tea would you like to have?”

Long Junhao eyed the bunch of restless staff behind Chu Jian and said disdainfully, “Don’t you all just want to take him away? You can’t even do such a simple thing well. Watch and learn!” As he said that, he rubbed his face and put on a crying expression. He went up to Chu Jian and grasped his clothes while pointing into the distance and crying out anxiously, “Doctor, Aunt Zhang’s daughter-in-law isn’t going to make it. You have to go see her quickly!”

“What?” Chu Jian was startled and nodded vigorously. “Alright, alright, I will go right away!” With that, he sprinted off in that direction and disappeared in an instant.

The nurse standing right in the front sniffled, “We… we… we… should also go jump into the river…”

Long Junhao lazily walked over to a stone bench and sat down. He raised an eyebrow while watching these people on the verge of crumbling. “How?”

Everyone immediately prostrated. “May the prince live long and well!”

Gu Chen had rushed over after hearing that the prince might act out. However, the only thing he managed to witness was this scene. He found it really funny and walked over to rub Long Junhao’s head. “Haohao.”

Long Junhao looked up and smiled. His lavish features immediately made the surroundings lose any color.

Gu Chen couldn’t help being stunned for a moment before starting to knead Long Junhao’s face furiously. Was he this good looking before? Long Junhao was a little ticked off by it and was about to blow up when the General took over, “You don’t allow me to?”

Long Junhao was immediately infatuated and chuckled foolishly while nodding. “You can~”

Everyone couldn’t help but rub their eyes. Is… is this that hot-tempered prince? You’ve gotta be kidding?!

Gu Chen was pleased and continued to enjoy this. Long Junhao closed his good looking eyes and thought to himself that he must take advantage of this opportunity. He glanced at Gu Chen’s close face and reached out to grasp it. Before this person could react, he inched forward and planted a kiss on his lips. “Muah”. Gu Chen was stunned. He felt as if a crack had appeared somewhere in the world, and as it got bigger and bigger, everything started to shake and was on the verge of collapsing.

Their surroundings became deathly silent. Long Junhao licked his lips as he got up gleefully and left, leaving behind the petrified audience.

When Gu Chen regained his senses, all he saw was a floating sleeve disappearing into the corner. There was still a lingering warmth on his lips. He got up slowly, licking the corner of his mouth with a cryptic look on his face.
