Chapter 21.2 – Attacking and Receiving

As a director, Li Xuan always received gossip in the asylum at once because he had a capable and hardworking assistant.

“A doctor actually rolling in bed with his own patient! What a scandal! Even though I never set any institution rules, are they passing me as invisible by doing this? How am I going to show my face outside in the future?” Li Xuan slammed the table and got up in a huff. “Aarghh, is this for real? Have the prince and He Tianfan really been upped? Really? You aren’t kidding me, right?!”                                                                                        

“It’s true, the prince just requested a change of bedsheets. Everyone knows what Dr. He did there.” The assistant softly reminded him, “Boss, you should lower your voice. And your eyes shouldn’t be glowing this much…It’s a bad influence…”

Li Xuan peered outside the window. A bunch of medical staff outside immediately gazed into the sky and talked loudly, “The weather today is just great, take a look at all the nice scenery…” Li Xuan immediately went to draw the curtains and when he popped his head out of the door, that bunch immediately held hands and left. 

“…” Li Xuan returned back to his office and paced around excitedly. “What sort of miraculous thing happened for those two to be actually taken care of at the same time? Fork out some cash and get some incense so we can pray and give thanks.”  

“They were both taken care of by different people. Why do you make it seem as though it was a 3P…” The assistant reminded him before asking weakly, “And can you tell me why you are always asking me to fork out money?”

Li Xuan sighed. “I only have a dollar left in my card, remember? And I still owe a high-interest debt. It’s not like you don’t know all of this.”

“But boss, that’s just one of your many cards. Moreover, I remember that ever since you heard those loan sharks were criminals, you thought of ways to exterminate them in order to not pay up. As a result, nobody dares to lend any money to Lady Boss anymore and you even had to sleep in the study for three days because of it…”

Li Xuan sighed once more. “Having a trusted aide can do more harm than good.”

His assistant continued, “So about the incense money…”

Li Xuan shot him a death stare and his assistant immediately hugged his own head. “I’ll pay, I’ll pay…”

Finally satisfied, Li Xuan stood on the spot and pondered. Of these two, one was his money tree while the other was a capable doctor of his. As the director, Li Xuan felt he ought to do something.

Watching as Li Xuan rummaged through the office, his assistant asked, “Boss, what are you doing now?”

Li Xuan didn’t even look up. “Preparing red packets.”

His assistant was stunned and asked in disbelief, “What did you say, boss? You’re willing to take money out of your own pocket? Are you okay? Are you feeling unwell? Were you hit on the head or something?!”                                                             

“Of course not,” Li Xuan said as he took out two items.

His assistant heaved a sigh of relief. When it came to his boss, forking out money was more difficult than killing someone. However, giving items was much easier. Li Xuan meticulously packed two bottles of lube carefully and handed them over to his assistant. “Go deliver this to them. Tell them it’s just a small token. Oh, by the way, how is that newcomer now?”

“He’s in the yard accepting visits. He does have the air of a nobleman.”

“What about He Tianfan?”

“He’s still in bed.”

Li Xuan laughed. “He hasn’t been untied yet?”

“He has,” Li Xuan’s assistant answered, “it’s just that he is unable to get off the bed by himself…”

Li Xuan laughed so much he fell. “Not bad, that person has potential. If only he worked for me. Such a pity…” Li Xuan sighed but his smile never ceased. “Go on then, and pass a message to He Tianfan.”

Thus, Li Xuan’s assistant went to deliver the gifts. He first went to see He Tianfan who was lying miserably on the bed. Marks of abuse covered his body and he wailed loudly when he found out the assistant’s reason for coming. He Tianfan started to smash whatever he could that was on the bed, scaring the assistant witless.

“So, Dr. He, the boss wants to inform you that you can arrange for that person’s outpatient procedure anytime if you regret it.”

“Arrange my ass!” He Tianfan wailed. “Wait till laozi eats him up. I won’t just eat Xiao Lan up but even his mother! Laozi will eat him up even if he is Lei Yun’s man!”  

“So you knew…” said the assistant feebly.

“You don’t say! Daddy isn’t stupid!” He Tianfan was very worked up. “Lei Yun has always been wanting my help, just that I haven’t agreed. I’ve never thought about it ever since I brought Xiao Lan back. It’s only until I knew he had a dual personality okay!”

The assistant nodded. “A dual personality isn’t something that can be gained overnight.”

“So he had this problem previously but was only sent in for treatment now. Moreover, it just so happened to be during those few days when I was there for the exchange,” said He Tianfan. “Even if it is all coincidental, I’ve seen his skill and he’s no amateur. Therefore, there’s a possibility he’s Lei Yun’s man and was sent in to seduce me.”

“So you even knew that he was seducing you…” The assistant said feebly.

“It’s not like I didn’t try to resist…” He Tianfan sighed. “In any case, tell the director that laozi will eat him up first before he gets kicked out.”

The assistant grunted an acknowledgment and went off to find Long Junhao.

“Oh, he’s asleep.” Gu Chen casually draped a shirt over himself and received the item with a smile. After opening it, he chuckled. “Not bad, I’ll keep it.”

Ahh, so this is the difference between the attacker and the receiver, thought the assistant to himself as he turned to leave.

“Wait,” Gu Chen called out. “I heard that the newcomer has a dual personality?”

The assistant nodded and reckoned Gu Chen had more or less gotten the picture. “At present, that’s the most likely circumstance. But it could also really be a coincidence.”

Gu Chen nodded and returned to the room. Li Xuan’s assistant then went to buy some incense candles before returning back to his boss. Both of them showered and changed into new clothing before praying piously.

“Hey, why are you still here? Go away, I want to sleep.” Little Mushroom Xiao Lan’s other personality leisurely entered the room and gave orders to the corpse on his bed.

He Tianfan retorted through gritted teeth, “Laozi shall not move!”

“Whatever,” said the other person as he lay down beside him and closed his eyes to sleep.

He Tianfan turned to look at him. This person’s features were gorgeous, a real beauty… He couldn’t help it! That person sensed He Tianfan’s staring and opened his eyes to glare back at him. The first thing he noticed was He Tianfan’s idiotic drooling face. With a yawn, he kicked He Tianfan off the bed.

“The fuck…” He Tianfan was enraged and roared, “Laozi will definitely kill you!”

The person flipped over and continued to sleep.
