Long Junhao was very upset and felt that his feelings had been greatly hurt. With many people watching him fearfully, Long Junhao stomped back to his room and threw the toy cellphone on the floor. He paced around his room like a trapped beast and smashed a few items angrily.
A bunch of trembling staff stood outside, too afraid to enter. They carefully peeked their heads past the door to watch, and trembled even harder upon seeing the scene inside. They were actually worried that their prince might not think straight and kill himself. Thus, after some discussion, they decided to find General Gu of the prince’s faction and ran to him crying. “General Gu, it’s not good, hurry and go talk some sense into him. Otherwise, if anything happens to your prince, you might have to spend the rest of your life alone!”
“General Gu, save us poor people! If an unfortunate accident befalls the prince, all of us would be kicked out by the Director!”
“Yeah, by then, we will all be in the streets. The fortunate ones might still get by with begging, but the unlucky ones might be sold to brothels!”
“I don’t wish to be sold. I am from the prince’s palace and will be here till the day I die. General Gu, you have to help us.”
…
Gu Chen’s lips twitched as he waited for this bunch to be finished with their crying. Finally, he asked, “Why haven’t you all gone in to console the prince?”
Everyone immediately huddled together while trembling. They looked towards Gu Chen with sad looks on their faces. “We… we… we are afraid, so we didn’t dare enter…”
Gu Chen pointed at himself. “And I would dare go in?”
Everyone nodded their heads unanimously. “The prince treats you differently from others. You guys are, after all, a couple. General, perhaps the prince might even make you the big room1 Primary Wife, a term used in feudal China whereby the first wife gets the big room and right of inheritance in the future.”
Gu Chen’s nicely shaped eyes became beady as he laughed playfully before walking towards them while cracking his knuckles. These people only felt an ominous wind as their bodies shuddered even more.
Gu Chen towered over and stared at them for a while before asking, “…Big room?”
Another nurse immediately changed their tune with a shaky voice. “The prince is your big room, he is the big room. He is.”
Only then was Gu Chen satisfied. He tucked his hands into his pockets and walked away gracefully towards Long Junhao’s room. When he entered, the first thing he saw was the prince pacing around with a furious expression. His slightly curly hair seemed to have bristled like a threatened cat.
Gu Chen found this scene amusing as he stood unmoving at the doorway. While pacing around the room, Long Junhao sensed someone had entered. He looked up, then hurriedly put a hand to his forehead before tottering unsteadily to his bed.
Gu Chen was stunned for a moment, and then laughed when he realized Long Junhao had made himself dizzy from all that pacing. He thought to himself that this person was really adorable, more adorable than before. He went over to support Long Junhao. Long Junhao wanted to struggle and walk away, but his feet didn’t listen to his commands and instead tripped over each other. His body crashed forward heavily towards Gu Chen’s chest. Gu Chen swiftly lent his hands to support Long Junhao, only to be assaulted by a sweet fragrance. He looked down at this person’s slightly loosened collar that revealed a faintly discernible collarbone. Subconsciously, the only words that were in his mind were—A beauty is in my arms.
It took quite some time for these thoughts to be swept aside. Gu Chen helped Long Junhao to sit on the bed and said grudgingly, “You are really quite an idiot.”
“You’re the idiot, your whole family are idiots!” Long Junhao barked back instinctively. He then looked to the ground and continued to rub his head. Only after things returned to their normal state did he open his eyes lazily. Glancing at Gu Chen, he asked angrily, “Why are you visiting a nutcase like me?”
Gu Chen sat on the side of the bed and looked towards Long Junhao kindly. “When have I ever said you were a nutcase?”
Long Junhao continued in dissatisfaction, “That’s what your eyes say!”
“Oh.” Gu Chen nodded casually before suddenly reaching out and pinching Long Junhao’s chin. Smiling, he met Long Junhao’s eyes. “Then you should tell me what my eyes are saying.”
Long Junhao looked at him. Besides a look of warmth, he couldn’t see any other sentiments. Unable to find any fault, he pursed his lips.
Gu Chen liked seeing the way Long Junhao seethed but still couldn’t say anything. He chuckled and pinched Long Junhao’s face. “Be good, Haohao, don’t cry.”
Long Junhao shuddered. Ever since knowing this person, Long Junhao had rather disliked Gu Chen addressing him as ‘prince’. Upon knowing that, this person had just started calling him ‘Haohao’. It sounded really intimate and Long Junhao couldn’t get used to it. Gu Chen told Long Junhao that it would be fine once he got accustomed to hearing it and thus, Gu Chen had continued using it till now. All the other staff in the institution viewed Gu Chen with great reverence ever since then.
Long Junhao slapped his hand away and said dejectedly, “How long will it be till I am able to leave?”
“You can leave once you get better.” Gu Chen’s reply was warm but he suddenly didn’t wish for Long Junhao to recover. From his observations, although this person would act out from time to time, his rationality and way of thinking were fine. As long as he didn’t come into contact with sensitive topics, chatting with him was no different from having a talk with a normal person. Therefore, Gu Chen selfishly wished that Long Junhao would stay this way forever. He rather liked the way he currently was. Besides, if this person were to recover… Gu Chen looked a little pensive—What would I do then?
Long Junhao didn’t notice the change in Gu Chen’s expression since he was furious after hearing that sentence. “I’m not sick! You’re sick! All of you are sick! There isn’t anyone in this asylum that is normal except for me!”
See, a sensitive topic… Gu Chen came back to his senses and hastily put up his hand. “Mhm mhm, you aren’t sick. You aren’t.”
Long Junhao hated this sort of patronizing attitude the most and got even angrier. “I’m really not sick!”
“Yes yes yes, you really aren’t sick.”
Long Junhao patted his own chest to calm himself down. After a few moments, he glared at Gu Chen indifferently and said through gritted teeth, “What’s the big deal? This prince will break out tomorrow. I don’t believe that I can’t get out! Humph! This prince doesn’t want to live with you bunch of hecklers. I will leave and be independent!”
Gu Chen squinted. “Not going out!” He felt a little helpless. This man had pretended to be sick and came to the asylum to hide from the people at that time. Now, when he was really sick, he actually dreamed of escaping all day long——Is he really asking for it?
Gu Chen’s usually warm demeanor became slightly colder. Long Junhao immediately tensed up. It felt as if the spirit of the general had possessed the body of the person before him and he couldn’t tell true from false.
Gu Chen pinched Long Junhao’s chin and came closer. “Understand?”
Long Junhao stared at him blankly. He wondered if this was the general that he pined for day and night!
Gu Chen was also momentarily stunned. He glanced at the drop of transparent fluid on his hand, then followed the trace of it upwards before expressionlessly fishing out a piece of tissue and handing it over. Long Junhao chuckled sheepishly and took it, then continued to be in a daze.
Gu Chen let go of Long Junhao and wiped his hand with a tissue. Finally, he couldn’t bear it anymore and said, “… Wipe away your drool first.”
“Ah? Oh…” Long Junhao wiped around his mouth a couple of times, then continued to stare. Gu Chen no longer felt creeped out from being stared at, unlike when it initially started. On the contrary, he seemed pleased and asked with a chuckle, “Like what you see?”
Long Junhao nodded with the foolish smile still plastered to his face. “I do like it, general…”
Gu Chen was initially pleased to hear that but his face darkened the moment he heard the last word. It hadn’t been him that Long Junhao was smitten with? He slowly regulated his emotions and regained the usual kindly smile. Deep down, he thought to himself—Continue being lustful, go on.
Long Junhao realized something was amiss and sobered up from his fantastical delusion. He was a little regrettable and felt that he could have fulfilled his dream if he had taken advantage of it. He sighed, felt better, and decided to go out and take in some sunlight. Therefore, he got up and patted Gu Chen’s shoulder before walking away. “Thank you for your performance.”
Gu Chen sat rigidly on the bed for a long time before he regained his senses. He then started to pace around the room.
Long Junhao was all smiles as he walked towards the courtyard. Anyone that saw him would give Gu Chen a thumbs up in their heads. The power of love is great indeed! The prince’s burning anger had been quelled so quickly. What a talent indeed.
As Long Junhao strolled leisurely along the walkway, he suddenly realized there were many people gathered at the pavilion ahead. Chu Jian and the long-haired beauty’s attendants were all there. Long Junhao was curious and walked over. “What are you all doing?”
Everyone turned over. When they turned over and realized who it was, they held their breaths as their hearts thumped. Great general Chu had just recovered and had opened a stall at the pavilion to give pulse readings. The staff looking after him cooperated to let him read their pulses, while the long-haired beauty was currently in the pavilion leaning on the railings and gazing into the distance. He didn’t mind his attendants getting a diagnosis from Chu Jian and he was delighted to be idle. Thus, the two of them got along in harmony.
Of course, the premise was that Long Junhao didn’t come. Even the long-haired beauty had managed to annoy Long Junhao, let alone Chu Jian. Everyone knew the temperament of this prince. If anything were to happen… misfortune would be befalling all of them.
They hurriedly ran over to their master’s side. “Master, the Feng shui2 The practice of Chinese geometry on the study of auspicious elements in the environment here isn’t good. Let’s change spots. Okay?”
The long-haired beauty giggled but didn’t move. Chu Jian asked rather innocently, “Why?”
“The Feng shui here isn’t too good.”
“Why?”
“It just isn’t good. You wouldn’t be able to make money here so it isn’t a suitable place to do business. Let’s go somewhere else?”
“Why?”
Everyone started to cry and prostrated on the ground and grabbed his leg. “Master, there will be a hurricane, cyclone, hailstorm, earthquake, tsunami, landslide, and bird flu here shortly. We beg of you to go, please. Let’s go, please?”
Chu Jian bit his fingers and still wanted to continue asking but when he looked up, he saw Long Junhao. This had been Miracle Doctor Chu’s first customer and hence he got up, cupped his hands, and bowed. “Madam, are you here to get some medicine?”
Everyone immediately froze and they felt as though their entire bodies were coming apart bit by bit.
During this silence, the long-haired beauty suddenly opened his mouth, “The sun and moon hang in the twilight, gods and spirits have power over life and death. Heaven and Earth only can only differentiate what’s clear and turbid. Those who do good live shorter lives in poverty, but those who do evil live longer in wealth. Heaven and Earth are indeed not fair~”
Everyone immediately groveled and cried. We are wronged, we have been totally wronged!

Ah, those poor people. Hahaha.. I’m beginning to wonder if their heads are the ones lost instead of their patients?
😂😂😂😂😂
Dealing with the patients everyday apparently makes them very vulnerable. Ya poor souls 🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣
Thank you for the update ❤️❤️ ❤️❤️
I’m curious to know the background story of the original since he went and hid in an asylum. Hmmm.
