After the call connected, without waiting for Han Cheng to speak, Du Ze hurriedly said, “I have sent them all away. If you come down now, I promise that no one will be in sight. Ah, our service staff don’t count.”
Han Cheng hung up.
Xia Tian didn’t know who was on the other line. He was too embarrassed to ask and was still immersed in the not ambiguous but very tender embrace just now. He was feeling a little bit overwhelmed and was still in a daze…
Did Han Cheng just give me a hug?
Was that a hug?
Xia Tian felt a little regretful… This was more irritating than the last time Han Cheng held his waist. It was unfortunate that he was in a bad mood just now and couldn’t feel anything at all.
There were no tears now, and his heart wasn’t uncomfortable anymore. He couldn’t squeeze any liquid even if he wanted to cry and couldn’t have a hug if he wanted to have one. Ahh…
Han Cheng put his phone aside, looked at Xia Tian, and said, “Is there anything you want to ask or say?”
Xia Tian returned back to reality. “Huh?”
“I don’t like to drag out trivial things and accumulate them into hidden dangers. What happened today… If you have anything you are unhappy about, just say it now.” Han Cheng said calmly, “I know everything.”
Xia Tian understood. Han Cheng was still worried that he didn’t believe him.
“I…” Xia Tian swallowed the “I’m fine” that had almost left his lips and changed his words to ask him instead, “Did you… really have a lot of partners before?”
Han Cheng nodded slightly.
Neither ashamed nor proud.
Xia Tian whispered, “Did you have feelings for them?”
Han Cheng shook his head. He smiled. For the first time, he felt that the stubbornness and uncompromising characteristic of Xia Tian was lovely.
“You… haven’t been in love before?” Xia Tian sat down, fiddled with his phone, and continued, “The true love kind.”
Han Cheng shook his head again.
Xia Tian dumbfoundedly asked, “When you were younger, did you like anyone in particular?”
“Xia Tian..” Han Cheng sighed softly, “I’m still not that old.”
Xia Tian hurriedly apologised, “No, you look so young. Really young, but you are too scary, so I always feel…”
Han Cheng chuckled, “What have I done to make you think I am scary?”
“You haven’t..” It was not easy to chat with Han Cheng to this point. Xia Tian immediately got the topic back on track and said, “Have you never liked anyone when you were in school? The kind that… constantly thinking of your crush.”
Han Cheng said, “There isn’t… Xia Tian, I brought up this topic because I wanted to restore my goodwill on your side through an explanation. You keep talking about this, I really can’t find any bonus points.”
Xia Tian laughed. He wasn’t afraid of Han Cheng today, so he boldly pointed out, “You haven’t answered yet.”
“No, my school days were different from yours.” Han Cheng suppressed the corners of his mouth that he couldn’t help but to smile and said, “I didn’t have much energy to have crushes, and dating was a waste of time. Later on, I left school earlier than I intended to…”
“You know the reason.” Han Cheng continued, “When I came back to China, the company was a mess when I took over. I didn’t have the time or the mood to think about other things. Later, for the sake of my career, I almost married a person with very bad values… I also told you that from then on I became less and less interested in these things.”
“I don’t want to ask for trouble and let a person who doesn’t know how to behave well into my life.”
“Previously, you thought my mother liked you very much. There is also another part of the reason. She is more worried about having a troublesome person in the house than I am.” Han Cheng smiled, “The above is all true. Is this answer passable?”
Xia Tian filtered what Han Cheng had said and tentatively asked, “So…I am qualified?”
Han Cheng smiled and responded sincerely, “More than that. You’re perfect.”
Although he knew that Han Cheng was coaxing him. Being praised by someone he liked, he was still very happy. Xia Tian smiled and nodded. “Then… it’s okay, I just wanted to know this.”
“Alright. Now is my turn to ask you.” Han Cheng looked at the billiard cue on the table, “When did you practice?”
“In junior high school, my mood was not particularly good at that time, and I always felt restless…” Xia Tian smiled, “You also know the reason.”
Han Cheng knew that at that point of time, Xia Tian’s father had just passed away.
Xia Tian continued, “There was this one time that I encountered people playing billiards and thought it was fun. My mother hired a teacher to teach me. That teacher was very good. Several seniors, except for me, are now all professionals.”
Han Cheng smiled. “Except for you.”
“It was originally a hobby to divert my attention and for entertainment.” Xia Tian remembered what had happened and added, “Occasionally I would play with others. But losing was not an option.”
Han Cheng laughed at himself. “You were betting with him just now and I was going to play on your behalf… Fortunately, you spoke quickly and didn’t give me a chance to interrupt.”
Xia Tian’s eyes lit up. “You were going to play on my behalf?”
Han Cheng smiled and said nothing.
Xia Tian’s heart suddenly melted.
He regretted it a little bit. If Han Cheng were to really play for him, it didn’t matter whether he won or not. It would feel more heart warming…
But he didn’t want Han Cheng and Mr. Feng to play together, brushing past one another, giving one another looks, it would be too ambiguous.
Thinking about it, it would still be better to do it himself.
While Xia Tian was still thinking mindlessly, Han Cheng’s cell phone rang.
It was Du Ze again. Han Cheng answered the phone and the other party said, “I’ve asked people to clean up the rooms of those people just now, and their things have been sent away. Can this issue be considered as settled? Young Master Xia…”
Han Cheng glanced at Xia Tian and said in a deep voice, “Feng Yizhe…”
Xia Tian’s ears instantly pricked up.
Han Cheng smiled and turned the speakers on.
“Understood! I’ve warned him. I guessed that he recently played around with a brat whose surname’s Li. He’s courting death, fuck… Don’t worry, I’ll take care of it.”
Han Cheng didn’t appreciate it and sneered, “If you don’t do anything about it, he won’t have this chance to die.”
Du Ze was speechless, murmured a few swear words, obviously also annoyed by the mess he had caused.
Han Cheng looked at Xia Tian, and he understood it instantly… How smart was Han Cheng. He was afraid that the explanation just now would not convince him, so he didn’t tell Du Ze that he was there at this moment and turned on the speakerphone and asked. After answering, it was clear that he was interrogating him.
Xia Tian felt completely relieved.
Du Ze knew he was guilty, so he asked, “Where is the young master? Has he been coaxed?”
Upon asking about him, Xia Tian was self-conscious and he walked to the window, but his ears were still standing alert.
Han Cheng looked at Xia Tian and said, “No.”
“What a great temper…” Du Ze sighed, he was really curious, what kind of person was this who could keep Han Cheng1It’s trying to say how Xia Tian could tame Han Cheng and be by his side.? He couldn’t help asking, “Then did you guys have a fight? Did he beat you?”
Han Cheng sat down, took the broken billiard cue and looked at it, and said casually, “Yeah.”
Xia Tian gripped tightly onto the panels of the windows and almost choked upon hearing this.
Du Ze on the other end of the phone was amazed and was quiet for a while and then said, “The person succeeding the Xia family… is truly awesome.”
Xia Tian leaned his head against the glass wall and was too embarrassed to look at Han Cheng.
“In a while, get someone to come to my room and take this cue away.” Han Cheng put the pool cue on the table, “No matter who you send it to, get someone to repair it. It must be fixed.”
Du Ze hurriedly said with a pleasing smile, “Master Han, why are you being so polite? Isn’t it just a cue stick? I’d told you not to pick it up just now. If the young master has not finished venting his anger, I’ll send another bundle over…”
Han Cheng interrupted Du Ze, “It’s not that I’m being polite to you, I will take it away after it’s fixed.”
Du Ze sluggishly asked, “What do you want it for?”
Xia Tian also quietly turned his head and looked at Han Cheng.
What will you do after it’s repaired? Use it to beat yourself?
Han Cheng calmly said, “I’ll put it in the study and look at it every day. This will serve as a warning.”
Du Ze was shocked by Han Cheng again, and he said sincerely, “Master Han, I really admire you for being calm and free while having this underlying fear!”
Xia Tian scratched the glass in pain…
Han Cheng frowned, “Why do you have so much to say today?”
Du Ze smiled brazenly. “I’m not… I want to redeem my sin earlier. Okay, I’ll let someone take it for a while and see how to repair it. I will definitely fix it for you. It’ll be the same as before.”
Han Cheng hung up.
Xia Tian’s energy was depleted and he whispered, “Uncle Han, I have only seen a knife in the study. I heard that it was for folklore beliefs. But for billiard cue sticks…”
“What’s wrong?” Han Cheng looked down at his mobile phone and replied to two messages, “I wanted to let people engrave today’s events onto the repaired pool cue and record it…”
“Don’t!” Xia Tian collapsed. “I just smashed it in front of you this one time! Do you want to remind me for the rest of my life? You put this thing in the study, are you warning me or frightening me?!”
Han Cheng chuckled. “What’s the rush? Of course it’s to remind myself. What’s that got to do with you?”
Xia Tian felt crazy. “Displaying it in the study room, if others were to see it… For example, if Assistant Liang sees it, how would you explain? How would you cover it up?”
“To be honest, why is there a need for explanation?” Han Cheng frowned slightly. “I realised… recently, you seem to often mention Liang Qingfeng.”
Last time it was still in front of him, that the other had praised Liang Qingfeng as a good person.
Xia Tian did not think too much of the word “Liang Qingfeng”. He was immersed in Han Cheng introducing the origins of this billiard cue and the terrible recollection of the past to every subordinate, friend, relative, and partner who came to the house, and he wasn’t able to let it go.
It wouldn’t be long before anyone who knew Han Cheng would know that their study had such an attraction…
In the future, whoever came to visit the house, would they purposely ask to visit the study room?!
Ahhhhhh…

Han Cheng is getting lowkey jealous! I bet if XT knew he’d try to add fuel to fire… or I guess play safe to prevent misunderstandings.
Thanks for the chapter!
Hahaha that cue will act like a tourist attraction xDDD
Thank you~~
Hahaha. The cue will get a display case?
Thanks for the chapter!
Actually I really wanted Han Cheng to die of jealousy later on after what happened from the last two chapters. Bruh I just really want him to realize how hard it is for Xia Tian at that time.
Thank you for this wonderful translation. 💖
