Su Ling finally emerged from the meandering tomb room and entered the actual haunted house.

Seeing that the visitors hadn’t come out for a long time, the haunted house owner couldn’t bear it anymore and came in to find them.

“Hey, everyone, you’ve been in the ghost bride’s boudoir for almost an hour now. Even if you closed your eyes and searched, you should have found your way out, right?” the haunted house owner sarcastically commented.

Su Ling felt like he had been shot in the knee, unable to express his bitterness.

Although I may be bad with directions and easy to fool, a small room of just over ten square meters really shouldn’t have been that difficult for me!

However, the haunted house owner looked at them with suspicion.

Being able to stay in such a simple setting for so long either meant they were extremely directionally challenged or competitors trying to gather information.

Obviously, the haunted house owner didn’t want to deal with either of these types of people.

Helplessly, Su Ling had to leave empty-handed.

After Su Ling and his group left, as the haunted house was about to close, it welcomed a second group of visitors.

Naifu1Honestly the rough translation of her nickname is milky lotus. I don’t wanna type that so lets just go Naifu the waifu was a new supernatural broadcaster. Today, she wanted to explore this haunted house.

Danmaku comments from fans showed that most of them weren’t impressed with this haunted house.

[This haunted house isn’t that great to watch. It’s better to explore the Lin Family Mansion on Mountain River Street; it’s more exciting.]

[I’ve been to this haunted house, it’s cliché, not very fun.]

[Please, begging the broadcaster to change the location!]

Most fans in the comments were unimpressed by the haunted house.

“This haunted house really wasn’t that special,” Naifu smiled patiently, patiently explaining to her fans, “But recently, the reviews for the haunted house have been very high. People who have been here all say that the owner is particularly good at scaring you in unexpected places.”

[Is that true? But I checked, and it’s not popular locally.]

[It’s probably just a publicity stunt.]

[I bet a penny that the haunted house owner hired fake fans.]

[The haunted house isn’t that famous. Even I only heard about it from a colleague. But according to my colleague, the strange occurrences in the haunted house seem to be unknown to the owner.]

Naifu suddenly lowered her voice and said, “I suspect that this haunted house might really have something!”

As she spoke, the sky darkened once again.

A gust of wind blew through, rustling the leaves behind her, creating an eerie atmosphere that matched Naifu’s intentionally lowered voice.

[I suddenly feel like the environment has become strange. Am I the only one who thinks so?]

[You’re not alone, I’m having dinner and suddenly felt a chill too.]

“Alright, enough small talk. Let’s just go in and take a look.” Naifu returned to her normal smile, adjusted the camera, and walked towards the haunted house.

After taking a few steps, Naifu suddenly heard two voices behind her.

“Is this the place?”

“The location sent by Xiaoman is right here, we shouldn’t be mistaken.”

Because one voice was cold and the other warm, the contrast was too obvious. Naifu couldn’t help but turn back curiously, only to gasp and freeze on the spot.

At the same time, the barrage exploded without warning.

[F*ck F*ck F*ck!]

[So handsome aaaaaahhhhhh! I want to have their babies!]

[Madly licking the screen! These guys are like heavenly beings!]

Standing in front of Naifu were the Chang brothers who had just returned from a business trip, Chang Wu and Chang Bai2Ladies and gents before you ask me why the author named them Chang Wu and Chang Bai. I have no clue. However, let me state this in advance. They are not related. They are not related. They are not related. You’ll find out how they ended up like this in future chapters.

The younger brother Chang Bai smiled kindly at Naifu and asked, “Excuse me, is this the XXX haunted house?”

Enthralled by the divine appearance of the two men, Naifu could only dumbly nod in response to his question.

“So, you’re here to visit the haunted house too?” Chang Bai tilted his head and smiled.

“Y-Yes, yes.” Naifu stuttered unintentionally.

“Well, that’s great. My brother and I are a bit timid, could we accompany you?” Chang Bai gestured to himself and the man in black behind him.

Naifu gasped in happiness, nearly fainting. She was so overwhelmed by the situation that she naturally overlooked how peculiar Chang Bai’s words were.

Naifu walked alongside the two handsome men, with Chang Bai chatting with her cheerfully, exuding an extremely gentle and welcoming vibe.

The other man in black seemed more reserved, with a poker face the entire time.

Hearing that they were brothers, Naifu couldn’t help but be even more curious – their personalities were just not what one would expect from siblings.

Chang Bai seemed to sense Naifu’s confusion and smiled as he answered, “We’re not biological brothers, we took an oath of brotherhood in the past.”

Naifu was surprised for a moment and exclaimed, “People still take oaths of brotherhood these days?”

Chang Bai smiled without saying a word.

Naifu realized her impoliteness and quickly apologized, changing the subject, “One of you is dressed in white, the other in black, and even your hair colors are black and white. From a distance, I almost thought I had encountered the Black and White Impermanence, haha!”

Chang Bai chuckled in response, “Is that so? Didn’t scare you, did we?”

“No, no, we’ve seen plenty of strange things in our line of work,” Naifu waved her hand.

Chang Bai raised an eyebrow in surprise, “You’re quite brave.”

“Not really, how else could I be a supernatural broadcaster?” Naifu replied.

Chang Wu lightly chuckled, saying, “I hope you’ll be the same inside.”

This was the first time Chang Wu had spoken to her. Naifu was pleasantly surprised, thinking he was joking, and exaggeratedly patted her chest, saying, “Don’t worry, I’ve got this.”

Meanwhile, Su Ling and his group received a message from the Chang brothers –

“We’ve arrived at the haunted house, where are you guys?”

Su Ling looked at the message with a complex expression and asked everyone, “Should we go back?”

After wandering around the haunted house for a while, everyone was a bit tired. Shi Kongzang yawned, looking a bit weary, “It’s fine, those two brothers can handle it themselves.”

Meng Xiaoman wasn’t keen on turning back either and casually remarked, “As long as they don’t pick on other ghosts, why would they be picked on by other ghosts?”

Wu Pan glanced at Shi Kongzang, then at Meng Xiaoman, unable to come up with any other lines, so he simply nodded blankly, “Hmm.”

Su Ling thought for a moment and still felt worried, “No, they don’t have much fighting power. It’s too dangerous for them to be in the haunted house. We need to go back and rescue them.”

Meng Xiaoman hesitated.

After Su Ling spoke, he patted Sheng Ze on the back. Understanding the signal, Sheng Ze turned the electric scooter around and headed back to the haunted house.

Wu Pan watched Su Ling’s departing figure and sighed, “This reminds me of an old saying.”

Shi Kongzang and Meng Xiaoman turned to look at him together.

Wu Pan sighed deeply, “One can’t escape the disaster they caused3in other words, you reap what you sow!”

Inside the haunted house.

Since meeting the two brothers, Naifu’s live broadcast room’s popularity had skyrocketed to its peak.

Naifu smiled as she watched the gifts pouring into the live chat, skillfully chatting with the brothers, fully satisfying the desires of her adoring fans.

“It seems like this haunted house doesn’t have any special features.” Naifu complained half seriously, half jokingly, “I read the reviews before, and I actually thought there were real ghosts here.”

Chang Bai chuckled, “Do you believe in ghosts and monsters?”

“After walking the night roads so often, you’ll encounter things that science can’t explain,” Naifu slyly winked.

As soon as she finished speaking, a sound of a can falling to the ground suddenly came from around the corner.

“Is there anyone?” Naifu subconsciously ran over, peeked around the corner, only to find it empty.

“They sure ran fast,” Naifu muttered to herself, then turned back and waved to Chang Bai and Chang Wu, “It’s fine, probably just a staff member.”

Chang Bai nodded in response, his smile unchanged.

“Is the boss here?” Chang Wu, walking behind, whispered to Chang Bai.

“They left not long ago, they might be arriving soon,” Chang Bai saw a ghostly figure flash by not far away, his smile growing even more intense.

“Then let’s settle this quickly,” Chang Wu said coldly.

Thinking the brothers were timid, Naifu took the lead to pave the way for them.

Therefore, she naturally didn’t see the faint appearance of an iron chain in Chang Wu’s hands behind her. The chain swayed lightly, causing the surrounding small ghosts to follow it as if mesmerized, rushing towards it one after another.

Chang Wu casually dragged the iron chain, followed by a string of bewildered spirits.

“Why does it feel a bit chilly… Hey, did you hear the sound of chains?” Naifu pushed open the door in front of her and casually asked.

“No, you must have misheard,” Chang Bai replied calmly, quietly watching the half-body corpse hanging above Naifu’s head.

It emerged halfway from the ceiling, hands on both sides, long hair hanging down, eyes dripping with desire as it stared down at the people below.

It seemed to be a drowned ghost, with its clothes completely soaked, and its long hair dripping water.

“*Plunk!*”

Naifu felt a chill on her head and subconsciously reached up to touch it, only to find it wet. Slowly raising her head, she was met with a ghostly face that was trying to look cute.

“Ahhhh!” Naifu’s scream pierced through the entire haunted house.

“G-Ghost!” She turned and ran back in a panic, about to call the Chang brothers to run with her, but then…

Chang Wu was surrounded by a dark aura, his once stern face now more sinister, with even Naifu being able to see two distinct bloodstains at the corner of his eyes.

The iron chain in his hand finally materialized, revealing its fierce and bloody nature.

Naifu stared in shock at everything unfolding before her.

Chang Bai, with Chang Wu beside him, appeared clean and pure, gentle and saintly.

In contrast to his brother, he seemed like an angel.

Then, in the next moment, this angel revealed a sinister smile and said, “This is the Soul-Locking Chain, accepting souls of the living and the dead. Do you like the bloodstains on it?”

Naifu’s eyes rolled back, and she fainted completely.

“Aren’t you supposed to be brave and not afraid?” Chang Wu raised an eyebrow slightly, the bloodstains at the corner of his eyes spreading deeper, exuding a strong aura of malevolence.

“For girls, half the story is enough,” Chang Bai’s fingertips brushed the bloodstains at the corner of Chang Wu’s eyes, as if trying to wipe away the blood.

Then, Chang Bai’s gaze shifted to the now frightened “half-bodied ghost” his smile growing deeper.

However…

In the next second, Chang Wu retracted the iron chain, Chang Bai put away his smile, and the two returned to their normal appearance, obediently standing in place.

One minute later, Su Ling, with his reluctant employees, emerged from the other side of the wall.

As they walked, Boss Su didn’t forget to scold everyone, “Xiao Bai and Xiao Wu were in danger. Since you are all good friends, how could you just stand by and not help?”

Chang Wu and Chang Bai, who were “in danger,” immediately showed matching expressions of grievance, sincerely complaining, “Boss, you finally came, we were almost scared to death just now!”

Author’s note: [Short Play]

Chang Brothers: Wahh, the drowned ghost is so scary!

Meng Xiaoman: (Unmoved.)

Shi Kongzang: (Expressionless.)

Wu Pan: (Quietly watching your performance.)

Boss Su: Hey, you guys have no conscience! Where’s the brotherly love?

Sheng Ze paused, walked up, and solemnly patted the Chang brothers’ shoulders, comforting them, “Don’t be afraid, we’re here for you.”

Boss Su (touched): See, I knew Ze-ge was the most loyal!

Naifu (just waking up): … I choose to die again.

As an Identity V player, I’d imagine them to look something like the S tier skin Brilliant Polaris4 but less flashy while in the human world. However in the ghost world I imagine them to look something like the S tier skin Verdant Realms Unfurled5

Before you ask me why I didn’t consider the S tier skin Far East Wind, I initially did, but then I remembered the chapter I read about their past and I was like NAH these too are not that well off to be playing princes. Far East Wind looked more like princes6
