“Let me go! Let me go!” the man screamed. Lin Huai looked at his startled appearance and said helplessly: “You can’t leave.”

“AHHHHH——”

Lin Huai was annoyed by his screams, so he simply covered the man’s mouth and pressed him against the door: “I’ll count to three again, three……one.”

The man:……

Seeing that he was no longer screaming, Lin Huai said: “Give me the key.”

He took the key, picked up the oil lamp and opened the door. The man sobbed behind him and said, “I want to go find Tongtong…..”

Lin Huai said expressionlessly: “Then go find her.”

The guy: “But you have the oil lamp……”

Lin Huai glanced at him and said coldly: “Too bad.”

When he opened the door, something fell from above. Lin Huai tilted his head as he looked at it. The man continued to scream. After they entered the classroom, Lin Huai shone a flashlight through the window and called the man, “Come and take a look.”

He pointed at the window glass and said, “These are simply human figures painted with charcoal. What’s there to be afraid of?”

As he said this, he touched it with his fingers, and sure enough, his hands were covered with carbon ash. The man looked at his fearless appearance and continued to sob: “Then, then what should we do next?”

Lin Huai supported himself with one hand and sat on the podium. He threw the flashlight to him and said, “You, find clues.”

The man caught the flying flashlight with both hands and searched the classroom bravely. Just as he reached the last row of metal cabinets, he looked at Lin Huai again: “Then, what about you?”

Lin Huai shook his feet, twirled the chalk on his fingers and said, “Chatting with the staff.”

After that, he looked under the platform and said, “Stop grabbing my ankles or I’ll sue you for harassment.”

Staff: ……

The woman ran for a long time and was frightened by several jumpscares. Finally, she hid in a corner, gasping for breath.

Without the oil lamp, her whole world lost its light. After running around, she had lost her direction.

There are ghosts here in this haunted house! Real ghosts!

She made sure the wall was made of normal materials and there were no secret tunnels for other people to hide in. But when she touched a cold but still moving hand, she froze.

That hand was icy unlike normal people, but the texture was normal skin. What was even scarier was that there was no pulse! It even smacked her once!

She was panicking when a faint light shone from in front of her.

The lamp was held in the hand of someone, but they came so silently, and the footsteps could not be heard at all. The woman raised her head and saw a young man with a pale face, holding a lamp, looking down at her.

That person was Lin Huai, who was searching for clues with them. Under the flickering light, one side of his face was hidden in the darkness, while the other side had a strange smile. He looked at the woman and said to her, “You don’t have much time.”

His voice was also faint, like a flickering will-o’-the-wisp, wandering in the wind of the void. The woman asked him tremblingly, “What… what time?”

“Time to live.”

She looked at Lin Huai and suddenly remembered that when she and the man were walking on the road, Lin Huai was clearly following behind them, but he didn’t make any footsteps. She looked at Lin Huai now, and saw that this person was staring at her without blinking, with the corners of his lips raised, and his smile was strange and cold.

Lin Huai bend down, and the woman shrank back. He handed the lamp to her: “Your stuff.”

The woman took the lamp under his gaze, and her fingers accidentally touched his hand. The man’s skin was as cold as ice.

That’s not the temperature a living person should have!

“Let’s go,” Lin Huai said to her, “I’ll take you to reunite with your boyfriend.”

After saying this, he gentlemanly asked the woman to hold the lantern and walk in front, while he followed behind her.

The woman walked in front of Lin Huai, focusing hard on trying to hear the footsteps behind her. She sometimes slowed down and sometimes quickened her pace.

In the entire haunted house, she could only hear her own footsteps!

The “person” behind her is not making an sound at all1Like no sound of breathing or heart beats or footsteps!

“Where, where’s A Jie?” She asked with a trembling voice.

“He’s went down.” Lin Huai answered

Down? Where did he mean by down??

“D- down? Down where?

“Well of course under this place.”

The further the woman walked, the slower her steps became. She didn’t know where she was, she only heard the whistling wind and the other party’s cold response.

The “down”……could it be……referring to……the underworld?!

She recalled the rumors she had read online. Some people said that the reason why Chen Shu was able to achieve so many honors as a designer was because there were real ghosts in his haunted house.

The person behind her… could he really be a ghost?

The hand holding the oil lamp began to tremble. Seeing the light in front of him shaking violently, Lin Huai wanted to show some concern for her. But before he could say anything, he was afraid that his tone would be stiff, so he laughed twice: “Hehe, why are your hands shaking so badly?”

A terrifying and strange2HAHHAHAH “Terrifying and strange”. Poor Lin Huai, he tried his best laugh sounded behind her. The woman trembled even more: “Why…why are you walking behind me?”

She suddenly remembered that ghosts have no shadows. This “person” walked behind her, perhaps because he didn’t dare to let her see that he had no shadow!

The person behind him chuckled twice and said, “It’s convenient for me to send you on your way.”

“AHH——!!”

The woman could no longer bear it, so she threw the lantern behind her and ran away screaming. Halfway through her run, a dark shadow rushed towards her with its arms outstretched as if to grab her. She screamed again, kicked the shadow hard, and ran to a different direction.

Lin Huai was hit by the lantern and was in a daze. The man, who was covering his head with his hands, was already chasing after the woman, shouting her name. The woman, who was in extreme panic, did not hear the man’s voice, but just screamed louder and ran forward.

“Tongtong! Tongtong!” The man yelled, “Wait for me !!”

“AAAAAH! Stop chasing me!! I don’t wanna die!!!”

Lin Huai looked at the two people, totally confused. He had wanted to ask the man if he had found anything in the basement of the classroom, but now it seemed that he couldn’t ask him.

He had no choice but to hold the lamp and walk towards Shao Wei. He thought that the two of them had enough time to spend alone, and their relationship should have improved a lot. He would turn into a ghost and scare them now, to help others and make their relationship even better.

As for that couple, let them do their best and leave the rest to fate.

***

Here, Chen Shu looked at the three people on the surveillance video and stood up again.

Zhou Ming looked at his excited look and asked him, “What’s wrong with you?”

Chen Shu’s chest rose and fell violently, and his beautiful phoenix eyes shone with inspiration. Because of his excitement, his words were even more difficult to decipher: “Wo… I  flower a heavenly jackal3Bc he has a heavy accent to begin with. and plus he was in a hurry, the pronunciation was all jumbled up, what Chen Shu was trying to say is that “I found a genius!”!”

Yes, he found his source of inspiration! Over the years, he spent a lot of time on the design of the mechanism, and as a result, he gradually neglected the essence of the haunted house.

The essence of a haunted house is not to increase the difficulty, but to bring tourists a better horror experience!

And this guy…… He didn’t  do anything unnecessary, but he actually managed to scare two people so much that they ran away in fear… while he himself was completely unaware.

This… is what he lacks most at the moment!

He looked at Zhou Ming and said, “I want that pot’s number4I want that guy’s number.”

After thinking for a while, he said, “I want too hire him.”

Maybe with that person around, he can also create a work that can defeat that guy named Chu!

Cloe: Ya’ll, I need opinions from you guys, should I keep Chen Shu accent and add a clarification at the end or just completely translate it everytime?

  1. I think you should keep his accent and explain what he says in the notes, since he does actually have an accent!!

Poor Lin Yu is trying his best to be friendly 😔
