Qiao Luo chose one of the most difficult subjects as his elective.
Don’t bother asking why. The point was that he didn’t have enough points in class, and was therefore unable to snatch a good class from others.
Well, there’s always a silver lining in all. It was only in this class that Qiao Luo found his kindred spirit, Fang Yu.
Thus, when night fell, Qiao Luo hugged Fu Zhi Zhuo’s pillow as he sent him a message: Your pillow misses you. It’s disturbing me everyday, so much that I can’t fall asleep.
Then, it was the blanket’s turn: Your blanket misses you. It’s making trouble everyday, so much that I can’t sleep well.
Finally, it was Qiao Luo: Luo Luo misses you, can’t sleep.
With the huge time difference between them, Fu ZHi Zhou only replied to the message a long time later: Behave, I’ll be back soon.
Qiao Luo turned on the voice function, speaking with a cutesy tone, “Not gonna, not gonna, no gonna.”
Fu Zhi Zhou had a fright when he saw a reply. It was already such a late timing, why wasn’t he asleep?
Thereafter, he gave Qiao Luo a video call. It only rang shortly before the call was picked up. In the video, Qiao Luo wore fluffy pajamas, selling his meng by wearing a little hat, making his face look smaller and cuter, “Zhou Zhou gege, you miss me already?”
Fu Zhi Zhou, “It’s already so late, why aren’t you asleep?”
Qiao Luo was actually in the middle of a game with Fang Yu. The first round hadn’t finish and he couldn’t pit his teammate. Hence, he replied Fu Zhi Zhou heartheartedly, and didn’t pay attention to his words. It was too late to recall the truth, so he could only mumble honestly, “I’m bringing my friend to go grinding.”
Fu Zhi Zhou had never heard of any friends Qiao Luo had that would be so close to him, close enough to stay up just to go grinding together. Suddenly, a wave of vigilance poured over him inexplicably, but Fu Zhi Zhou asked indifferently, “Who?”
After 20 minutes, Fu Zhi Zhou donned a dark look once he heard of how Qiao Luo and Fang Yu had met. He even heard Qiao Luo edging him unconsciously, “He clearly likes that senior, but his mouth is just so rigid. He kinda resembles you.”
Fu Zhi Zhou choked on his anger, “How is he similar to me!”
Qiao Luo seemed to have yet to realize just how deep Fu Zhi Zhou was submerged in the ocean of vinegar, continuing to speak, “The same awkwardness! Didn’t you like me last time but still showed me all sorts of pretentious acts?”
Fu Zhi Zhou, “……Since when did I pretend..?”
Qiao Luo calculated his sins very accurately, “You hated me ugly dinosaur, gave me a college examination book, threatened me to date late, shouted at me for being too sticky…… Oh, and it was very fierce too.”
Fu Zhi Zhou, “……”
Fu Zhi Zhou explained lifelessly, “That was because I was afraid to distract you from your studies, affecting your school life.”
Qiao Luo pouted, retorting, “Tsk, I was already near the end of my semester but you always don’t return. Why aren’t you afraid that I’ll be distracted from missing you?”
Qiao Luo craned his neck forward, swayed his head side to side like a camera lens, “See that, see that? My brain only has the words FU. ZHI. ZHOU. in it. There’s no space to stuff in anymore content!”
In the early morning on the next day, Qiao Luo sleepily received a dusty boyfriend who returned hastily, bracing through the wild winds.
Then, they both went back to the dreamland together.
Oh crap, there’s even less energy to continue studying.
At night, Qiao Luo even received a text from Senior Xing An, hinting for him to stop playing with Fang Yu.
What play? He was dating, alright! His two legs were so sore and in pain that he couldn’t even get out of bed!
2.
Fu Zhi Zhou was injured.
As for how Fu Zhi Zhou broke his bone from saving a child that was about to fall from the elevator, Qiao Luo would naturally find that it wasn’t because Fu Zhi Zhou was dumb.
But the question was this.
When Qiao Luo fell sick, his experience in pestering Fu Zhi Zhou, plotting all sorts of cutesy acts and sticking to Fu Zhi Zhou were rich and bountiful. But the experience in taking care of a sick Fu Zhi Zhou was the same as his position, a zero.
Thus, Qiao Luo wisely opened his WeChat and sent Fang Yu a message: When you’re sick, how did Senior Xing An take care of you? Begging to share your experience.
Qiao Luo was rather gullible. Previously when Fang Yu claimed that he was the top, although surprised, Qiao Luo still trusted him. Thus, he naturally compared his situation to theirs, finding that the methods Senior Xing An used to take care of Fang Yu would be more suitable.
Fang Yu gave it some thought and replied: He’ll usually cook porridge, saying that it has to be lighter in flavor.
With that, Qiao Luo brought a recipe gifted by Fang Yu, that was brimmed with loving friendship, into the kitchen. More than 20 minutes later, Fu Zhi Zhou sniffed the air while he laid on the bed, replying to work emails. It was the smell of burnt food.
At first, Fu Zhi Zhou had thought that Qiao Luo went to the study to play games since he was bored. Thereafter, once the burnt smell started circulating in the air, he wondered what the little guy was up to.
At this moment, even if Qiao Luo had burnt down the entire kitchen, heck, even the entire house, he could only feel sweet tenderness. He was hopeless.
He yelled out from the bedroom, “Qiao’er?”
Qiao Luo had just poured away the first batch of failed porridge into the trash bin. He squatted on the floor of the dining room and was currently exchanging information about his cooking experience. He jumped in surprise from hearing Fu Zhi Zhou’s call, nearly tripping over the leg of the table. He half ran and half limped into the bedroom as he massaged his leg, “Here, here! Zhou Zhou gege, what’s wrong? Does your leg hurt? Do you need to go to the toilet?”
Taking in Qiao Luo’s panicstricken appearance, Fu Zhi Zhou patted on the space beside him on the bed, “Not hurting. I can go to the toilet myself too. I’ve only broken one leg bone, not becoming disabled.”
Qiao Luo plopped himself down, feeling unhappy. His small face pulled into a long expression, speaking with angry gusto, “What nonsense are you talking about? What disabled!! PUI PUI PUI!!”
He made his little guy upset. Thus, Fu Zhi Zhou resorted to changing the topic, “Smells of porridge.”
Qiao Luo’s attention was diverted really quickly. His thoughts immediately ran to his failed love porridge. He spoke pitifully while feeling wronged, “The porridge was a failure. Zhou Zhou gege, are you hungry?”
Fu Zhi Zhou finished his lunch at around 2pm, and was thus not hungry. But his mouth moved, “Hungry.”
Fang Yu and him hadn’t researched as to how a porridge could turn powdery. Qiao Luo said dispiritedly, “Looks like we can only call for takeaway.”
Fu Zhi Zhou pulled Qiao Luo into his arms calmly, giving him a good rub, “I don’t want to eat takeaway food.”
Qiao Luo was terribly frustrated, “What should we do then? Should I call Mom and Dad to send rice over?”
Fu Zhi Zhou locked the person into his embrace, revealing the cards in his hands, “I want to eat you.”
Qiao Luo blanked out. Just as Fu Zhi Zhou was convinced that he made the other lose his soul, Qiao Luo suddenly touched Fu Zhi Zhou’s leg very, very cautiously, asking, “You… Can you do it?”
Fu Zhi Zhou could forever get his sore points pinched by Qiao Luo’s straightforwardness. He gritted his teeth as he spat, “Pain, definitely cannot, so you’ll need to work harder today.”
3.
Qiao Luo and Fu Zhi Zhou had received another wedding invitation.
However, it was Qiao Luo who received the invitation this time round, and Fu Zhi Zhou as his plus one.
Fang Yu’s second brother married Xing An’s cousin. The issue was that second brother had married too late. He realized that his close childhood friends had all become fathers. There was no one to form his group of groom’s men. Then, Fang Yu enthusiastically took matters into his own hands, to resolve this issue. He invited Qiao Luo, his good, unwedded, friend to be the groomsmen.
On the previous day when Fang Yu tried on the suit, he didn’t notice that Xing An was still present as he undressed. It just so happened that he was caught during a scene where a bare pair of slender and pale legs were topped with only a long sleeved shirt.
Originally, Fang Yu was worried that he would be unable to fall asleep. How nice. Before the whole suit trying process was finished, he collapsed tiredly, without given the chance to think any further.
In the morning of the next day, Fang Yu’s tail tensed in vigilance, fur spiked up in wariness. He pressed a pillow firmly towards the side of Xing An’s head and ordered, “Ah! You’re so annoying! You better stay at least 3 meters away from me today!”
Thereafter, Xing An’s bad taste kicked in. He served and fed Fang Yu a delicious breakfast that consisted of a cup of warm milk and freshly baked croissant. As the final attack, he took out the tool in which he frequently used when chasing Fang Yu: Orange flavored candy.
As part of the groomsmen crew, Qiao Luo arrived rather early, just in time to catch the scene of Xing An’s coaxing skills.
Qiao Luo was stunned silly.
He was cared for and taken care of by Fu Zhi Zhou since young and was constantly getting nagged at. The idea of ‘the bigger one was the only one who could discipline the smaller one’’ had become an unconscious belief.
There wouldn’t be any damage done if there wasn’t any comparison.
He felt sour.
Thus, he tugged on Fu Zhi Zhou’s sleeve, acting cute, “I’m hungry.”
His words were kicked to the drain. Fu Zhi Zhou gave him a cool look, “Who was the one who refused to eat breakfast, saying that he wants to leave his good friend some snacks?”
It was thou.
Qiao Luo had planned to imitate Fang Yu’s stinking face to talk to Fu Zhi Zhou. But his learning abilities were limited and completely went off track. He started acting coquettish, “Can’t you just coax me?”
This man was already past the age of 20 and was just like a bear child, kicking a fuss about having breakfast. Now he even wants to get coaxed? Fu Zhi Zhou replied with a glare, “How old are you already, still wanting to be coaxed?”
In his heart, he thought of how Fang Yu’s age was older than his by 2 months but he was still coaxed. Thus, he spoke aggrievedly, “Isn’t the use of boyfriends for coaxing me?”
Fu Zhi Zhou spoke sourly, “ This boyfriend can even be used to join in the groomsmen of your good friend’s brother.”
Side eyeing the scene of Xing An treating Fang Yu like a little ancestor, he felt that his own boyfriend wasn’t being very nice to him. Qiao Luo was super upset, “I’m so easy to coax, so why can’t you coax me just a little?”
Fu Zhi Zhou didn’t know why Qiao Luo was making a scene for, but seeing how Qiao Luo was truly very unhappy, he suggested while his eyes stayed fixed in front of him, “Do you want a kiss or a hug? Can we do it at home?”
Qiao Luo was extremely disappointed, “I’m not that easy to coax… How can I be fine with just a kiss or a hug?”
Fu Zhi Zhou started to get suspicious, “Weren’t you pretty excited this morning? Why are you getting upset out of the blue, even pestering me for a coax?”
The plan to pick a fault with Fu Zhi Zhou was a total failure. Qiao Luo’s mind went blank.
Countless of diverse reasons flew through his mind in a flurry but at long last, he deflated. He looked in the direction of Fang Yu, eyes revealing envy and voice sounding depressed, “I only wanted you to coax me too…”
Fu Zhi Zhou finally saw a light of breakthrough. He followed Qiao Luo’s line of sight and instantly understood.
His family’s little man was obedient, easy to love and gullible, never once had he scowled uglily at him. Fu Zhi Zhou’s heart melted.
He lowered his head and adjusted Qiao Luo’s necktie. Using this chance, he leaned close to Qiao Luo’s ears and whispered, “There’s too many people now. What do you think of using the night to let me coax you in my arms, coax as much as you want, until you’re satisfied?”
Qiao Luo didn’t completely take his words as the truth, “It’s not just a small perfunctory kiss?”
Fu Zhi Zhou, “……Since when did I kiss you like that?”
Qiao Luo stared wide eyed at Fu Zhi Zhou. He pulled up the sleeves of his suit, revealing a light bruise on his wrist, silently unmasking Fu Zhi Zhou’s violence.
Fu Zhi Zhou, “……”
He sucked in a deep breath, saying, “If you want to hear the words you like, even if I had to repeat a hundred times of ‘I love you’, I would let you listen all you want, satisfied?”
Just as Fu Zhi Zhou said, he was easy to love and gullible. Qiao Luo found his joy again and nodded, “Deal.”
On that night, Qiao Luo had indeed heard Fu Zhi Zhou personally saying, “I love you”, three words spoken with the utmost sincerity, a deep voice whispering like a hymn of prayer.
However, on the following morning, the bruise on Qiao Luo’s wrist that was close to fading away, had regained its vitality and vibrancy.
