Qiao Luo was deeply immersed in the celebration of his completion of exams and the joy of announcing his “secret romance”, yet, on the night of the reveal, he found that ‘secret romance’ was much better.
After his meal, he naturally followed behind Fu Zhi Zhou, ready to head to the Fu’s. However, Fu Zhi Zhou gestured his forehead towards the door, rejecting Qiao Luo’s intentions.
Qiao Luo was a very finicky person. With just two gestures from Fu Zhi Zhou, the heart of his eyebrows revealed a very pale little red dot, looking like an enormous boy of good fortune. He unhappily puckered his lips, asking, “What are you doing?”
Fu Zhi Zhou could only give him a few good rubs, “Your place is over there.”
Qiao Luo felt very aggrieved, “But you are here.”
Father and Mother Qiao were already waiting for Qiao Luo. Fu Zhi Zhou watched the little fool, who didn’t understand the situation, and helplessly smiled. He carried Qiao Luo into his arms and spoke into his ear, “If I bring you home on the first day of confession, I’m afraid that Uncle and Aunt will beat me up.”
Only then was Qiao Luo finally enlightened. He swiftly glanced at his parents and said reluctantly, “But I miss you.”
Fu Zhi Zhou felt that if he continued to hug Qiao Luo, he might just drag the other into his house. Thus, he gently caressed the back of Qiao Luo’s head before releasing him, “Didn’t I promise you a date in two days? Be good.”
Qiao Luo remembered about the two tickets. With this promise, he slowly and very unwillingly returned home.
Fu Zhi Zhou’s WeChat handle was previously “Zhou Zhou gege”, which then changed to “My Boyfriend“, and it was now renamed to “Debtor”.
After renaming Fu Zhi Zhou’s handle, he wrote: Fu Zhi zhou owes Qiao Luo hugs x10, Fu Zhi Zhou owes Qiao Luo kisses x10, Fu Zhi Zhou owes Qiao Luo dates x100.
Fu Zhi Zhou copied this message and formatted it in an IOU before sending the photo over to Qiao Luo.
Qiao Luo was over the moon. He climbed onto the bed while swaying his slender thighs. Just as he was about to send Fu Zhi Zhou another message, Fu Zhi Zhou’s text came in again: Qiao’er owes me how many deeds?
Qiao Luo: ……
Qiao Luo’s face was burning up at an alarming rate. As if was scalding his hands, he even dropped his phone.
They truly hadn’t done the deed in a long while. During the times when the heat erupted from their kiss, they would only stop at the heavy petting stage.
Thereafter, a vivid image of the time where he was bullied in Fu Zhi Zhou’s arms stamped in his mind strongly. Qiao Luo nervously looked for a bottle of water and drank two sips. With twitching lips, he took his phone while his cheeks continued to burn. The first thing he did was to delete the IOU from his gallery and send two replies:
【You have the last say!】
【I’m already asleep!】
Because of this matter, Qiao Luo was “restrained” for 3 days.
It was only when Fu Zhi Zhou knocked on his house door with a luggage bag did Qiao Luo recall that the departure time for the tickets which Fu Zhi Zhou had given him was for this afternoon.
For every trip with Fu Zhi Zhou, all Qiao Luo needed to prepare was some fresh clothes. The other items would be prepared in advance by Fu Zhi Zhou.
Thus, Qiao Luo merely waved at Fu Zhi Zhou, then proceeded to add a few more clothes into that bag. He didn’t even bother himself with a backpack this time round, and left the house with Fu Zhi Zhou after bidding farewell to his parents.
Qiao Luo slept for the entire flight, the small part of his face that leaned against Fu Zhi Zhou turning red.
Fu Zhi Zhou tucked him close through the airport and spoke after getting into the rented car, “Have a look around. The time before I was 7 and the winter breaks in which I didn’t accompany you after 7 were spent here.”
This city was the place Fu Zhi Zhou had lived in before he was 7 years old. It was also the burial site for his parents and grandfather.
Qiao Luo was muddled from sleep and only understood after coming back to his senses which was why he found the airport name to be somewhat familiar. Qiao Luo accompanied Fu Zhi Zhou to purchase the tickets during the previous visit where Fu Zhi Zhou flew here for the purpose of arranging Zhou Wang Gui’s funeral.
He became more well-behaved, hugged Fu Zhi Zhou’s arm and asked with an extremely sensible appearance, “You’re bringing me to Grandfather?”
Fu Zhi Zhou, “En.”
From the landing of the plane till now, his mood was initially a little complicated. He hadn’t been in this city in the summer. Furthermore, in his recent memories, he had come here in a rush, to settle this biological grandfather’s death certificate.
Yet, with the warmth brought by Qiao Luo’s soft hands around his arm, Fu Zhi Zhou regained his stability.
He said, “I’ll bring you to visit Grandfather and my parents. I’ll have to remind them to not only watch over me in the future, but also to give you their blessings.”
Qiao Luo gripped Fu Zhi Zhou’s arm anxiously. Then, as if he remembered something, he went to dig through the small carry-on bag, taking out Grandpa Fu’s jade, “Would Grandfather want to see this jade?”
Fu Zhi Zhou took out the other half of the jade from his pocket, “Yes. In his will, he only instructed me to do one thing. That was, to entrust this to me.”
Qiao Luo asked after the late realization, “I’m going to meet the parents, am I?”
Fu Zhi Zhou, “They will love you.”
He pinched Qiao Luyo’s face that still had a little leftover redness, “No one would dislike you.”
Qiao Luo nodded, “I’ll tell them that I’ll be there to accompany you in the future. My parents will treat you well so they need not worry.”
The most important matter was already settled and Fu Zhi Zhou’s memory of this city wasn’t the brightest, so their stay was relatively short. After offering their prayers to the relatives resting here, they left the following day.
Qiao Luo only foolishly realized that their original destination was a nearby city after boarding the train; they weren’t making a return journey.
He stood at the connector between the train compartments, gazing outside. Sensing that Fu Zhi Zhou was trailing behind him, he tilted his head and asked Fu Zhi Zhou, “Where are we going?”
Fu Zhi Zhou, “To your holiday reward.”
Qiao Luo merely nodded naively.
It was as if he wouldn’t resist even if he was being trafficked.
The journey wasn’t considered long. A high speed train could reach their destination in 30 minutes. Qiao Luo felt bored and pestered Fu Zhi Zhou for a while. Then, he took out his phone and played the little programme Fu Zhi Zhou had written for him.
Excluding the 10+ levels that were mainly used to coerce him into studying, that needed an upload of his completed homework, the previous few mini games were actually quite interesting.
He played till the 30+ level before thinking of a question suddenly. He tugged Fu Zhi Zhou’s arm, “You’ve only written till level 51?”
Fu Zhi Zhou, “There’s still the final level, level 52.”
Qiao Luo, “Level 52…… You wouldn’t be giving me some sort of surprise again, right?”
Fu Zhi Zhou suddenly realised that designing a level with the numbers ‘52’ wasn’t very common, but since Qiao Luo had already guessed it, there was no point in hiding it. He took out his own phone and gave it to Qiao Luo, “How about giving it a try?”
This level had practically zero difficulty. Pressing any random keys, one could succeed in the level.
Thereafter, the interface popped out a line: ‘If you proposed to me, I will agree’. Qiao’er, does this line that you’ve said before still stand?
Qiao Luo looked at that sentence and blinked. Then, he pounced on Fu Zhi Zhou and pouted, “Why aren’t you asking me personally?”
Fu Zhi Zhou entertained him, “Qiao’er, before when you said that you’ll agree if I propose to you, does this still count?”
Qiao Luo’s face gained a faint blush. His eyes scattered all over, ill at ease, but weren’t able to contain their joy and anticipation. Then, he spoke after learning from Fu Zhi Zhou, “How about giving it a try?”
Fu Zhi Zhou got out a pair of rings, “Qiao’er, do you want to grow old with me?”
Qiao Luo stretched out a hand as he waited for the ring to land on his finger, “Yes, yes and yes.”
