At 8 in the morning, “Su Chi Xia Rong Hospital” rose to rank first on Weibo’s hot search list.

Clicking into the topic on the hot search list to view the related posted microblogs, at the forefront was Mao Liu-lang Studio1Raw: 郎 [láng] ancient honorific for a male youth, can be used in a name (but seems unlikely in the current situation), can be loosely translated to “Sir” in its common use, typically for an untitled gentleman if used after a name (though there are official positions – ministers – whose position include the character as well). Context matters., a well-known paparazzi studio that claimed to have great detective work and had exposed a lot of impressive celebrity gossip before. He was the one who posted the earliest and with the most accompanying pictures as well. It was already posted at six o’clock, so their comments and reposts were also the highest.

【Mao Liu-lang Studio: In the early morning of today, #Su Chi# showed up at a certain B City hospital. It was said that he had been injured in many places, pale and haggard. [surprised Doraemon]. However, the recording of the third episode of 《Liang Shanbo and Romeo》 had just ended. Was this a work-related injury or were there some other reasons? In addition, we also found that Xia Rong was also in Su Chi’s ward [shocked] [shocked]! Xia Rong came out in a very low-key way wearing a baseball cap, and even found the nurse to tell her that “the drip is finished,” the brotherly care and concern was obvious! [picture]x9】

The attached photos were mainly shots snapped of Xia Rong from various angles. In the midst, there were about two or three of Su Chi from when the door was opened with a crack showing the profile of him sitting against the head of the bed, which had been magnified several times, so blurry that it was almost as if it had been mosaicked.

Xia Rong tapped to open the studio’s Weibo page and found that they had “just” released a new microblog:

【Su Chi’s agent arrived at the scene at 8:40 AM to maintain order and had also explained the situation: Su Chi was injured on accident when he was out climbing with a friend. The situation isn’t serious. He will rest for 2-3 weeks, then he will be discharged. With this, Su Chi’s fans can breathe a sigh of relief and move on to pray for Su Chi to recover soon! PS: Is everyone still hoping to ask why #Xia Rong# had appeared at the hospital? [Doge] It’s because he’s that friend, of course~ [joy] [joy] [picture]x9】

When the studio’s first microblog was posted, the studio was still rather neutral while its attitude was relatively teasing. Many in the comments had criticized along the lines of “The person is already in the hospital, yet you still won’t let them have a rest,” “It’s all because of you paparazzi, celebrities don’t even have a bit of ** personal space”, “Is the editor brain-damaged? The person is hospitalized because of an injury, we don’t even have enough time to start feeling distressed, what do you mean ‘showed up’? Do you think he’s going to participate in the Avenue of the Stars?”…

By the time it came to the second one, who knew whether it was because they had grown afraid from all the scolding or whether Su Chi’s “conciliatory policy” actually worked, but the tone had become much, much better, and so the melon eaters and fans could now focus on the event itself:

“Have to take two or three weeks off, that’s quite serious, isn’t it?”

“Seeing SuSu like this, my heart aches so much [pitiful]! Quickly let him have a good sleep [pitiful].”

“Though the timing might not be right, I still wanted to say… the variety show had just finished recording and they’re already rushing to climb a mountain, just how playful are they? [please allow me to make a sad face] [sympathy].”

“Ahhhh, I hope SuSu can recover soon! [tears]”

“Our Rongrong has been in the hospital since early in the morning to accompany a friend to see the doctor, ahh, such brotherly loyalty [love you].”

“Ahh, a plain-faced Rongrong is also very handsome [licking screen]”

“Am I the only one who noticed that the two Su and Xia families haven’t been adding tags this time, not competing for heat and attention as if fighting in a wrestling ring? [joy]”

“The fact that Xia Rong can accompany SuSu before the agent arrives, this cookie is very grateful towards him. Please don’t try to start something.”

“Dear some people, does it have to be that as soon as there’s a bit of peace between the two families, you’ll have to jump out with some provocations? In such an uncommon period, our Rongrong is visiting a sick friend, there’s nothing to fight over. And there’s no need to fight. [slight smile]”

“Oh, so you guys are finally admitting that your idols are friends? Weren’t you guys adamantly insisting that they are ‘just colleagues’ this entire time?”

“…”

Going back from the ‘Mao Liu-lang Studio’ home page, the rest of the posts at the forefront were all essentially ‘Entertainment xxx’, ‘Gossip xxx’ and other various marketing accounts of the sort. The released content was all more or less similar, and the pictures were mostly repeats, nothing very interesting. However, scrolling down a bit more, some of the microblogs made by passersby on this matter was a bit more interesting—

【xxx: Seeing the number one on the hot search, I got a shock. I thought Su Chi and Xia Rong finally fought, sending both of them into the hospital [covers eyes] [covers eyes].】

A comment below replied to him: “[joy] Why would you have such a misunderstanding?”

The original poster replied: “[covers face] I’m just purely a melon-eating passerby. In the past, I would always see their fans quarreling with each other, so I thought the relationship between the idols must also be very poor.”

A comment replied: “Hahaha, it’s only because their slot is similar, so there is inevitable friction between the two fan groups. The two idols’ relationship is actually quite good, not to mention how they are on the variety show, recently they have even been photographed going to each other’s home to play.”

The original poster replied: “[looking forward] [looking forward] They’re so sweet!?! It just so happens that I’ve always had an eye on their looks, I just didn’t get into the pit because of how the two fan groups would always fight so fiercely. Now, I will go join one!”

Underneath it all, there were also a lot of microblogs jeering that they were going to hype a CP. Su Chi saw it and said with a nod, “En, very insightful.”

“To h★ll with insight,” Xia Rong muttered, “I had even already told Yi-jie, not to hype CP.”

Since they had only one cell phone, the two people didn’t have much choice but to sit next to each other, head to head, as they scrolled through Weibo together. They were so close that as long as Su Chi turned his head slightly to speak, his warm breath would brush past Xia Rong’s ear, causing him to feel a bit uncomfortable. So, involuntarily, he was a bit more stubborn with his words than usual.

Contrary, Su Chi didn’t mind it very much, and he said with a smile, “Today’s headlines hadn’t been a result of the team’s manipulation to begin with. If you’re unwilling, then just let the team一一 Go with the flow?”

“Huh?” The sound of subconscious questioning slipped out from Xia Rong’s throat.

“Just do not interfere, don’t promote or oppose, and let it take its course. See how they2To my understanding, this “they” refers to the public and other marketing/entertainment sources, whereas Su Chi, Xia Rong, and their teams wouldn’t do anything. would develop it,” Su Chi said, “If there are still a lot of cute CPs like this afterward, then you can’t throw the pot anymore3So, as some would already know… To “carry the pot” means to “carry the blame,” so in this case, Su Chi means “at that point, you can’t say it has nothing to do with you anymore/can’t run away anymore.”.”

“…who’s going to throw the pot, don’t slander me.”

Xia Rong threw the cell phone to Su Chi and stood. Just at this time, someone knocked on the door, so he went to open the door and found that the plainclothes officer had arrived.

Fortunately, after Han Lianghao had gone out to give an explanation, a lot of the gossip reporters had already dispersed, so when the officer came here in plain clothes with large and small bags of things, they didn’t attract much attention. Everyone simply thought the other was here to visit the patient.

YinYue has something to say:

Here you go~ Full chapter~

I had delayed the schedule by one minute, so if you caught it right when this was posted, you might need to refresh~

This chapter was part artificially, i.e. there weren’t any natural breaks by the author until… Almost the end, which you’ll see in the next part.

Again, sorry for disappearing last week. I should be back on schedule.
