The exchange of vows between Dao companions involved both parties. As the subject of the other person’s vows, Gu Yan immediately received his partner’s feelings.

How should he describe it …

It was like when you see a beast, whose existence is extremely cruel and vicious, in nature in front of you, carefully hiding its claws. It obediently snuggles up to you, striving to give you whatever you want and will even give his whole heart to you without hesitation.

It was too late to stop now. By the time Gu Yan realized this, the youth in front of him had already completed his vows.

A change in heart meant the eradication of his soul. Even if he searched the entire cultivation world, it would be impossible to find a second person who would leave him with no back road like this.

“Otherwise, this disciple is willing to dig out his crystal nucleus to give…” feeling a cool touch on his lips, the beautiful young man immediately stopped. His dark eyes stared at the youth, full of paranoia but also obedience.

Stopping his disciple before he could do what he had just said, Gu Yan decisively chose to repeat the vow.

The person in front of him was the type tol follow through with what he’d said, especially when it came to him.

Saying he was even willing to dig out his own nucleus, Gu Yan helplessly let this Taotie beast revert back to his original form so that he could stroke his fur.

Stroking the beast, it rolled over to expose its belly and let out a low purr as it licked his fingers. Gu Yan did this so that he wouldn’t think of other things.

The crystal nucleus of a demon beast was like their lifeblood. Although the beast in front of him was a Taotie beast and not at the same hierarchical level as ordinary demon beasts, their crystal nucleus remained a vital thing.

The two sides made a vow with the Heavens as their witness. Jiang Tan quickly felt something change.

It was like an invisible connection had been established between both of them, a vague attraction pulling them together.

The increased intimacy between the two people made Jiang Tan narrow his pupils. Apart from the last time he had full possession of the youth, this was the second time the insatiable greed of his Taotie beast’s nature had been satisfied.

“Will master stay in the Abyss of the Underworld with disciple?” Beyond the paranoia, Jiang Tan stared into the youth’s eyes with only pure longing in his gaze.

Taotie beasts were very greedy. However, he only wanted one thing, this couldn’t be considered too excessive, right?

If he could obtain his most precious treasure, he would not look at anything else. As long as he could guard his most precious treasure, he was satisfied.

“Okay.” Gu Yan said without hesitation. He didn’t even think, only nodded, and agreed to his disciple’s request.

Apart from informing the Guan Lan Sect, there was nothing else to worry about.

Getting the answer he had hoped for with ease, this Taotie Beast squinted his vertical pupils with a hint of content, “Then, disciple will accompany Master on this trip back to Guan Lan Sect.”

He had also already taken this into account and Jiang Tan will certainly not let his Master leave alone, even if he had the matrix on him.

Compared to the human world, Jiang Tan was indeed more willing to stay on this side of the demon world. Apart from the beautiful scenery, the Abyss of the Underworld was better than the human world in every other aspect. At least it was in Jiang Tan’s eyes.

The two people took the trip back to Guan Lan Sect as agreed and spent a whole day giving them a reasonable explanation.

Before returning to the abyss of the Underworld, they went to the Heavenly Sword peak and took care of everything that needed to be destroyed or taken away.

It was now early spring, the new leaves had just sprouted and were lush green in color. Underneath the tree laid many old and dried leaves.

“Disciple has nothing else that’s important.”

When asked what needed to be taken away, Jiang Tan’s eyes lingered on the figure who had just asked him that question before he slowly answered in a low voice.

There was nothing else that was important, he already had his most important piece of treasure, there was no need for anything else.

Gu Yan evidently heard the hidden meaning in his words and raised his hand to touch the head of his disciple who was now already taller than him.

In the beginning, the round small ball was raised by him. He recalled the first time he saw the other person’s original appearance and raised his brow, “I remember when you first awakened your Taotie Beast blood, you were so small and round. When you came out of your room, you threw your whole body on my shoe …”

The handsome youth standing by the side suddenly looked somewhat unnatural and blinked slowly. He didn’t speak, his dark pupils quietly reflecting his master’s face.

At the time of his awakening, he was no different from an ordinary newborn cub and didn’t have any memory of his human form. At first, he didn’t know anything apart from his innate instincts.

Taotie beasts had an acute sense of smell that surpassed those of cultivators. At that time, in the small room, it was in the moment when he smelled a scent that he realized he had no way of restraining himself from wanting to get closer. Once he came out from that room, his eyes and heart could only contain that person.

He wanted to be liked by this person, wanted to make this person happy… many complicated feelings had sprouted at the bottom of his heart at that time. He instinctively chose to throw his body onto the other person’s shoes and look up at him.

Just looking at him gave him a sense of satisfaction. This was the only thing that could fill the void of greed in his heart.

“Meow.”

At this time, the beast had noticed the slight arch in the youth’s eyebrows. The arch made his facial expression seem softer, a smile like spring.

Jiang Tan wasted no time in changing back to his original form, imitating the scene in his memory and leaned in nearer. This grown-up Taotie beast put its entire weight onto his shoe.

This change came very suddenly, but the weight on his shoe made Gu Yan react quickly. He bent down to pick up the silver tiger cat in his bosom and softly said, “Let’s go back.”

The big cat who was being stroked gave a low purr in response and then rubbed against him. The demon race was under Jiang Tan’s control, they wouldn’t invade the human realm. In that case, the two realms maintained a delicate balance. This could be considered as well water that didn’t cross the river’s water[1].

“Disciple heard that Dao companions will usually dual cultivate together. Master has not dual cultivated with disciple yet.” Stepping into the palace, he faced the youth who was lying on the soft couch. He had just finished his meditation and was getting ready to have some rest. Jiang Tan suddenly said this with a light in his eyes. Gu Yan was stunned but afterward, he asked, “How do you want to dual cultivate?”

The youth who said this was still lying on the couch, his gesture quite leisurely and his brows were slightly raised. In Jiang Tans’s eyes, this lazy demeanor … was a gesture of indulgence that permitted him so much that he wanted to immediately push this youth under his body and commit blasphemy.

These two people had already made a vow to the heavens, asking to dual cultivate was extremely reasonable. The dual cultivation methods had different grades. The one that Jiang Tan had was naturally one of the best.

Gu Yan had no opinion regarding dual cultivation. During this period of time, the number of times he had been pushed down was not little. After all, they were both willing parties.

However, it must be said that when he experienced the actual process of dual cultivation, Gu Yan will once again be deeply aware of the deep pit he had dug for himself.

The distinct feeling of his body being repeatedly penetrated by something hot and hard, the sweet thrill of having every sensitive part of his body being rubbed made Gu Yan, whose robes had already been untied, be constantly unable to suppress his sobs. However, this was only a part of a normal day

Dual cultivation meant to cultivate during the exchange. This process was led by one person while the passive side had to adapt accordingly.

From the moment they started, Gu Yan already noticed the difference.

“Hnng–” The sudden and intense surge of pleasure made Gu Yan’s eyes lose focus for a moment and be completely unable to suppress his own voice. He involuntarily arched his back and finally parted his pale lips to let out a sound that made the man, who was penetrating him, narrow his eyes.

Behind him was the bed, there was no way to retreat. During the course of their action, the touch of the youth made the other man become extremely sensitive. There was the clear sound of something wet and sticky that caused Gu Yan, who was already unable to suppress his voice, to lift up his hands to cover his eyes.

“I wish I could stay inside master forever.”

It wasn’t like this method had no effect on the dominant party. With clumsy and unrhythmic thrusts, Jiang Tan licked and lightly bit his Master’s neck. He watched as his adam apple became agitated under his licks. His words were straightforward and honest.

“Ah… Ah…” the corner of both his eyes had already turned red and some traces of tears had leaked out. His cold and expressionless face suddenly showed a rare state of confusion, which only served to agitate the greedy Taotie beast.

“I like seeing Master cry while being f*cked by this disciple.” His head was lowered when he said this. From the narrowed vertical pupils to the seriousness on his face, his words couldn’t be more honest.

After finishing a round on the bed, by the time he recovered, Gu Yan noticed that his surroundings had changed and they were currently in the bathroom. He didn’t even have a second to rest before the hot and hard organ suddenly invaded and filled his body.

“Enough– Ah…” The first word had just left his mouth before it was completely blocked, Gu Yan could only pant as he changed his words, “Slow down …”

Afterward, they changed various positions and then continued several times. Gu Yan didn’t know when this madness, that seemed to have no end, finally stopped because he had already lost consciousness by then.

When he woke up, Gu Yan saw the young man who seemed to have been watching him for a long time standing near his bed. In the next second, he bent forward to kiss his lower lip.

“Master.” The person who was calling him had narrowed his eyes, his handsome face reflected utter contentment. He looked at the man he was calling with complete attention and in his dark eyes, only a single figure was reflected in them.

Being indulged to this extent, his greed yesterday made him do extreme things that he never dared to before. However, what made it worse was his desire to try out even more extreme acts.

Thinking of his promise and seeing his disciple in front of him with lowered brows and a face of complete obedience, Gu Yan’s eyes twitched but he still responded.

He had dug this pit. This was his own doing, he admits it.

The two realms were at peace and so, Gu Yan and his disciple’s shameless days continued for several thousand years.

Perhaps it was because of the ‘Rules’ which can also be regarded as Heaven’s will and coupled with his insanely strong dual cultivation partner, Gu Yan successfully broke through the ascension stage, a realm that no cultivator had managed to reach in nearly a thousand years.

Presently, his strength that could be considered on par with those a thousand years ago was considered rare. This was already equivalent to surpassing the boundaries of this world.

Immortal gods were not truly immortal, but their long lives were eternal in the eyes of ordinary creatures.

In their present world, God no longer existed. A deity could only rely on the will of Heaven, and Gu Yan was currently the only one.

“Master …” Thousands of years, so long that it was easy to forget the length of time they had, but Jiang Tan could still clearly remember that they had already spent 6,041 years together.

He should already be satisfied.

Although he was well aware of this fact, the Taotie nature was just too greedy and he still wanted more.

“En.” Knowing that he had almost reached the end, Gu Yan responded and raised his hand to the other man’s head.

A deity’s eternal life was only eternal in a limited sense. The human world changed in the blink of an eye but they still existed.

If you put it in a broad sense, no matter how strong of an existence he was, there will always be a day where he reaches the end. This was a fact.

An Immortal will not enter the cycle of reincarnation. After their death, they will return to the Earth.

“Qiuqiu, be good. “Gu Yan’s hands stroked the Taotie beast’s head. This time, they truly did have a very long time together.

In terms of life expectancy, as the ancient beast of gluttony, Jiang Tan had an even longer lifespan than him.

“We will meet again.” Gu Yan’s hand was still on his head. Seeing the gloomy look on his face, Gu Yan softly said, “When has your master ever lied to you?

He was still greedy, Jiang Tan’s gaze was firmly fixed on his Master’s face. After a long while, he obediently nodded.

Since the person in front of him said so, he will choose to believe him.

At this time, 037, as always, with its mechanical and emotionless voice sounded in the Gu Yan’s brain: [This body is about to die, initializing transfer. Counting down, in 3, 2 …]

“Qiuqiu, be good …”

Since they have met in this world again, there will also be an opportunity in the next world. He had asked his own system before and Gu Yan was sure of this fact. “I’ll definitely try to find you as soon as I can.”

  4. This was chappy is bittersweet but I am so glad both of them had time to spend with each other without worrying about the plot or missions (which MC doesn’t have, didn’t he?).

This is probably my most favourite out of the two arcs just because of the cat ML and HE aspects although the plot was decent and a little bland(no drama though, awww~! On the other note, it made me angry when slag bastard framed the MC). All in all, it was good! We got a cat ML, happy end, both wifey and hubby are happy, and there was also a satisfying face-slapping.

Thank you for the chapters and good luck on your finals, Dummy-san~♡

May the BL gods be with you!

See ya on the next arc, everyone~!

  6. Thanks for the chapter! Well this second arc compensated poor QiuQiu for the first arc. So much more time with his beloved. Still, it never seems enough, does it… Let’s see what the 3rd arc will bring. Hopefully, more cat petting, lol. I have gotten used to it. I find it soothing.
Best of luck with your exams & don’t forget to take care of yourself during those times!

    Compared to the first arc this had a better albeit bittersweet ending… I know they will meet again but does our ML have to live out the rest of his natural life in the old worlds first before going to the next cycle ??? I keep thinking about this lol ;^;

I hope the next arc has more cats. I’m extremely allergic but love felines so much sob sob. Once again thank you for your hard work♡♡♡

  11. Such a satisfying conclusion to the second arc after the sad end of the first arc. This chapter was so heartwarming. I’m glad they led such a fulfilling life together. And thus the human world was spared, thanks to Gu Yan diverting Jiang Tan’s attention. XD
Looking forward to the next arc. But I do have to wonder, it’s been over 6000 years, will Gu Yan still remember the plot of his novels?

  12. Thanks for the chapter and good luck if it’s still needed! : D

  21. 6041 years living in that world holy wow O___O he lived in that world so much longer than he lived as a normal man in his own world. I wonder how that would affect his psyche. After all that time, would that world feel more like home than his original? Or maybe I’m just overthinking it XD

    Reply
    • that’s something I often wonder about too. Every time I see MC transmigrate and spend a whole life in multiple worlds to complete missions for ‘the sake of returning home’, makes me wonder why don’t they just regard the new worlds as their home? What’s the difference between transmigration in QT and isekai? Why is it MCs that transmigrates once are more ready to accept the new world as their home?

  22. I always cannot grasp ,in the cultivation world ,they can be together for thousands or 10 thousand years and yet it seem not enough. For normal human only longest living years are 100 or so , if reincarnated,it’s still thousands and thousands times. And its also very hard to to maintain a good marriage for even a decade. But it’s a good thought, with millennium together even if ones dies,it’s really is no regrets. Thank you for the chapter.
