After checking on the students during the self-study period, Bai Ruan returned to the office to prepare for the first Chinese class in the morning.

It was the time when the students handed in their homework. The office door was wide open, and the representatives of each class and subject were holding a large stack of homework, coming in and out of the staff room.

Bai Ruan pressed the symbol on his back.

Seeing Lang Jing Feng not in class, he asked Zhang Tao, who was his desk mate, and was informed that he had yet to come to school. Bai Ruan was eager to try the actual combat effects of the talisman. He circled the classroom a few times but had no choice but to head back to the staff room.

Suddenly, the wind blowing from the door carried a wisp of demonic aura. Bai Ruan moved the tip of his nose slightly, turned his head, and saw Lang Jing Feng striding towards him from the door. He seemed to be running all the way to the office, his uniform jacket open, his fringe slightly raised by the wind. The entire face was exposed, and his facial features were unobstructed, making him exceptionally handsome.

“Teacher Bai.” Lang Jing Feng walked to the desk and blew a refreshing breeze. “I overslept.”

The cold demonic energy of the wolf hit his face, but its strength was much weaker compared to the previous few days. Bai Ruan’s muscles tensed habitually the moment he saw the wolf student, and then slowly relaxed when he noticed that the threat was sufficiently low. However, the brain still maintained a vigilant attitude, nervously resting on the handle that sounded the first-level alarm but did not pull it down.

It’s working. That’s great… Bai Ruan silently breathed a sigh of relief.

The strings in his brain were still drawn tight, and he was still afraid, but the degree of fear had been relieved by a lot. From being so scared that he couldn’t take care of himself to just shrinking from tension, it was a qualitative leap, and there were too many people in the office now. The representative students running around were quite lively, and Bai Ruan’s nerves became even more relaxed.

Bai Ruan settled down. He changed his anxious way of talking to Lang Jing Feng from a few days ago and calmly replied, “Since this is the first time you’re late after you transferred here, I won’t punish you. Remember to set an alarm clock in the future.”

Lang Jing Feng stared at Bai Ruan, who seemed to be no longer afraid of him. His eyes twinkled in delight as he explained, “An aunt asked me to get up… but last night, I had exercised too much and slept too deeply to hear her knocking on the door.”

As soon as Lang Jing Feng mentioned that he had exercised a lot the night before, Bai Ruan remembered the young student’s bravery and didn’t want to hold on to the trivial matter of being late. He waved his hand and said, “In the future, do take note. Go to your self-study class.”

What Bai Ruan didn’t know was that Lang Jing Feng’s high exercise volume did not actually mean fighting.

Lang Jing Feng had suffered from insomnia last night.

He had been laying like a pancake on the bed in the first half of the night, changing to countless positions over and over, his excited nerves preventing him from falling asleep. His pair of wolf eyes were shining brightly in the dark bedroom.

He was thinking about Bai Ruan.

In fact, he didn’t know what he was thinking about. It was like he was bewitched. The scene where Bai Ruan was curled at the bottom of the wall as he had been frightened by the gangsters, his pale face and the tears that were about to fall, kept lingering in his head.

Lang Jing Feng couldn’t stand a man crying. The more they cried, the more he wanted to beat the other party. But Bai Ruan was an exception. He looked pretty good when he cried.

… not only did he not want to beat the other man up, his heart also felt a little soft.

Not as courageous, just like a rabbit…. Lang Jing Feng restlessly turned over hundreds of times like he had too much energy, turning from side to back. With the corners of his mouth cocked leisurely, he raised his arms towards the ceiling. A burst of heat rushed through in his chest and kept ramming like a headless fly.

But it happened to be such a little teacher who could let the students run first at a critical moment. Lang Jing Feng had heard it before he crossed over the wall.

Let that Zhou… what was his name again? Let Shortie Zhou run, Lang Jing Feng thought and exhaled anxiously, thinking that if he had been even a minute and a half late, Bai Ruan would have been taken apart by those dogs. When Lang Jing Feng thought about it this way, the restless heat in his body froze again, and a cold current passed by his back, causing him not to be able to sleep.

Without venting the excess energy, he couldn’t sleep. Lang Jing Feng bounced up in the wind, took off his pajamas and underwear, jumped out of the bed, and turned into a wolf.

The roots of the wolf’s hair were thick, flexible, shiny and slippery. Illuminated by the moonlight, it was as bright as satin.

With his tail hanging down, Lang Jing Feng walked out of the bedroom silently, went down to the gym on the basement floor, and jumped on the treadmill. He stood up on his hind legs, tapped the switch with his paw, adjusted the gear to the fastest speed, and scattered four slender and straight wolf paws, running wildly on the track.

A wolf has excellent running speed and endurance. They can run for 20 minutes at a speed of 60 kilometers per hour. Lang Jing Feng liked to let go of all feelings when he was running freely. When he was depressed, excessively energetic, or had nothing to do, he would run to vent or kill time.

“A-ooooo…” Lang Jing Feng ran with excitement. He got carried away and raised his head towards the ceiling and howled.

As soon as Lang Jing Feng’s howl fell, the master bedroom and the nanny room on the second floor heard the howl of wolves in harmony.

This was because when a creature like a wolf heard the howling of its kind, it couldn’t help but follow…

Lang Jing Feng, “Owoooo.”

A few seconds later, a sturdy gray wolf slammed into the basement from the second floor. Its size was bigger than Lang Jing Feng, and it was full of murderous aura.

“Owoo? Owoooooo!?” the gray wolf reprimanded majestically.

Still not sleeping? Why are you being crazy in the middle of the night!?

“…Woooo.” …I’m going to sleep now.

Lang Jing Feng jumped off the treadmill, shook his hair, flicked his tail, and dashed past his dad.

The wolf pack had a strict hierarchy. If there were no rules intact, the inferior must unconditionally obey the superior. This was why, although Lang Jing Feng had no interest in learning, he still had to force himself to go to school every day to laze around. These were his parents’ rigid rules for him. It was necessary to go to university, even entering the lousiest university would do, so as not to lose face for the family.

Lang Jing Feng was ranked third in this small pack at home. The first was his mother, the second his dad, the fourth the nanny aunt, and the fifth the driver. If it was extended to the entire Lang family, it would be a one-meter long list.

The consequence of being crazy in the middle of the night was that the young student couldn’t get up in the morning and was twenty minutes late.

“Teacher Bai.” Bai Ruan asked Lang Jing Feng to return to the classroom, but he did not move and reached out his palm towards Bai Ruan. “Where are my sweets?”

Bai Ruan then remembered and took out the small half-filled bag of white rabbit toffees from the drawer. He took three of them and placed them in Lang Jing Feng’s palm carefully.

Eating sweets helped one be in a good mood. After Bai Ruan called the students to talk, if he felt that the students were depressed, he would give them a few candies to cheer them up.

Lang Jing Feng put the candies in his trouser pocket and was about to leave when he suddenly remembered something. He looked over and stared at the remaining bag of sweets and asked, “Whom are these left for?”

Bai Ruan answered honestly, “No one specifically… anyway, it’s for students.”

Lang Jing Feng felt inexplicably uncomfortable. After a moment of silence, he said, “Teacher Bai, this isn’t right. Shouldn’t I be given more rewards when I have done something righteous?”

Bai Ruan nodded slightly. “What reward do you want? Name it.”

Lang Jing Feng reached out and grabbed the half-bag of toffees left on Bai Ruan’s leg and said, “It’s all mine.”

Bai Ruan looked up at him blankly: “… if you like it, you can have it.”

Do wolves have such a sweet tooth?

From the time Lang Jing Feng had walked in, till now, Bai Ruan didn’t directly look at him. It was mainly because a few days ago, he was scared witless, and he habitually didn’t dare to look up. Therefore, after giving him a quick glance, Bai Ruan realised that Lang Jing Feng had changed. The pure black negative merits faded, turning into a dark gray like that of ashes.

The effect of helping Zhou Hao Chen yesterday seems quite obvious? Bai Ruan thought, fixedly looking at Lang Jing Feng’s white clavicle skin at his collar and wanted to see the vivid color of the negative merits.

“What is Teacher looking at?” Lang Jing Feng deliberately lowered his voice and suddenly asked.

“Ah… nothing.” Bai Ruan hurriedly retracted his gaze and suddenly realised that Lang Jing Feng hadn’t had his tie and said casually, “Where’s your tie? The school has regulations, and all students in uniform must be neatly dressed.”

“Auntie ironed my tie, and I forgot to take it off the ironing board. I will definitely not forget it tomorrow.” Suddenly, hot blood rushed to his head. Unbuttoning another button, Lang Jing Feng teased Bai Ruan, “Should I unbutton one more?”

Bai Ruan was taken aback. His eyes widened suddenly. “What are you talking about!?”

At this time, Cui Yu Hong, the math class representative of Class Four, came in with a thick stack of workbooks, put it on Liu Zhen’s desk, and reported, “Lang Jing Feng and Zhao Rui did not hand theirs in.”

Liu Zhen turned his head and glared at Lang Jing Feng, and his voice boomed loudly, “Where is your homework?!”

“I’ve completed it.” Lang Jing Feng smiled at the corner of his mouth and drew out a mathematics workbook from his school bag. He had chosen to fill in the blanks and compile big questions and copy formulas to make up for the number of words.

Like the students, the teachers were also divided into serious and not serious. Several other teachers in the subject held a Buddhist attitude towards Lang Jing Feng’s failure to hand in his homework. They knew that he was bad, and they were too lazy to discipline him. Liu Zhen was the kind of person who didn’t rub sand in his eyes1It’s a metaphor to be very strict and clear on the principles and bottom line, and there is no room for mistakes and violations. Usually used to describe the ideals and guidelines of a perfectionist with a clear attitude towards things.. When one became a teacher, they had to be trustworthy, saying that if they wanted to collect the entire class’s homework, they must do so equally and not let any student slide.

Liu Zhen took the workbook with a cold snort. Lang Jing Feng pulled out another Chinese workbook and put it on Bai Ruan’s desk, saying, “I’ve also completed yours.”

The tone and manner in which he said this made Bai Ruan almost want to say “thank you” to him.

“Teacher Bai, I’ll be leaving.” Lang Jing Feng waved his hand and wandered out of the office. Cui Yu Hong, who had just delivered his math homework, walked behind him.

When the two walked to the door of the fourth class classroom, Lang Jing Feng suddenly stopped and turned to ask, “What is the name of the one who didn’t hand in his math homework?”

Cui Yu Hong was startled and hesitantly spoke, “Zhao Rui. What’s the matter?”

Lang Jing Feng, “I don’t know him. Where is he sitting?”

Cui Yu Hong stood at the door and pointed. “The student in the third row from the back, sitting against the wall. Why?”

Lang Jing Feng didn’t answer. He strode towards Zhao Rui as if he were going to fight with him. He knocked his knuckles on his desk twice and asked, “Where is your math homework?”

Zhao Rui’s expression was frozen, and he used an incredulous look to stare at Lang Jing Feng. This was a super inferior student who was said to have entered the second high school without handing in his homework for two consecutive days, using connections and paying money to enter this school, while beating up a teacher, “…”

Had this boy swapped souls?

The author has something to say:

Zhao Rui: ??? What’s going on? Have you gone insane?

Lang Jing Feng: Let the old math teacher bully Xiao Bai again, beware of me beating you up.

Bai Ruan Ruan: … I… actually… forget it. Even with a hundred mouths, I cannot explain it. 🙂
