When he woke up, the sky was bright. Song Yi squinted his eyes as the warm sunlight shone onto his bare arms through the windows. It was warm but a little piercing to the eyes. When he wanted to turn over, he felt a stinging pain in a particular place.
Song Yi rubbed his eyes and looked at the bright veil above his head. Slowly, he realised that he was not at his home.
He had slept with Gu Xingchuan.
Although he was conscious during his first two heats, his memory of them was not strong. He only vaguely remembered some stuff.
This time, he had a clear mind and remembered things clearly. Gu Xingchuan, that bastard, said nice words yet he didn’t display any sense of care for the fairer sex. Just like a beast, he was too fucking capable. Was he human or a donkey?
Song Yi turned his head to the side and buried his face in the pillow, feeling too ashamed. His thoughts cycled back onto those explicit scenes that could burn one’s face. The two of them were so crazy, every corner of the room had traces of them.
And even at the end, Gu Xingchuan hugged him like a child and laid together in the bathtub. As Song Yi opened his eyes in confusion and stared at the bright starry sky in Los Angeles above his head, Gu Xingchuan was beside his ear and counted the stars for him while exerting force…
Was this something a human would do?
At this moment, an arm behind him wrapped around his waist. Gu Xingchuan got up halfway and looked over to Song Yi with a relaxed attitude, and greeted softly, “Good morning, baby.”
Song Yi puffed out a perfunctory “en”. Since they had already slept together, regretting it now was too late. Apart from making trouble, there was no damn use at all.
Gu Xingchuan kneaded those soft earlobes. “Are you hungry? What do you want to eat?”
“Whatever…” Song Yi wouldn’t dare to arouse him; he was still somewhat ashamed.
Gu Xingchuan leaned down and kissed his cheek. “I’m going to buy breakfast. You can take a break.”
After he finished talking, he jumped off the bed, walking to the closet in front of Song Yi in all his naked glory. He opened the closet and took a pair of dark sports shorts, bent his waist and dragged that past his straight and strong calf lines. Too beautiful. Yet the same culprit who caused Song Yi’s backache and pain at the most sensitive part of his body, was swaying in front of Song Yi’s eyes. The embarrassed Song Yi turned his face away, pretending that he didn’t see anything.
When the door panel banged close, Song Yi turned over and laid on the bed, burying his forehead on the pillow in annoyance, reciting the meditation mantra silently.
In the end, it came down to this improper male-male relationship.
He couldn’t define this any other way.
The first time they slept together, he could say it was a misunderstanding; the second time, the situation forced him to do it. But this time, he was searching for a high-sounding excuse, and that was just too hypocritical.
He simply couldn’t resist Gu Xingchuan’s temptation. In that situation, few people could control it. At that time, his mind was full of the most primitive impulses of human beings; everything else was swept to the side.
Song Yi gave a deep sigh. He laboriously sat up with his arms propped against the bed. Since he didn’t know what to do, he shouldn’t think too much of it.
As a human being, one had to know when to retreat. No matter what, there would always be a corresponding way to deal with it. The boat would naturally go straight when it reached the bridge.
When Song Yi came out after a shower, Gu Xingchuan had returned with breakfast. The soy milk fritters from the nearby Chinese restaurant were steaming hot, and there were even a few cold side dishes.
“Try it. These fried dough sticks are quite famous.” Gu Xingchuan placed the fried dough sticks into his bowl.
Song Yi was really hungry, and applauding1Cause it gives a papapa sound heh was a very exhausting thing. His eyelashes drooped as he ate in small mouthfuls, as if he was tasting fine delicacies.
Gu Xingchuan took a sip of the Americano he brought back, and with one hand supporting his jaw, he looked straight at Song Yi. Eagle eyes waiting for a compliment as he asked, “Did I satisfy you last night?”
Song Yi froze, pretending that nothing was up. He said indifferently, “It’s alright.”
“What ‘it’s alright?” Gu Xingchuan narrowed his eyes, tracing those five facial features of Song Yi. He questioned, “Good or bad?”
Song Yi had never slept with other alphas before, so there was no comparison. But if he had to compare himself as an alpha, he really couldn’t do it for hours without interruption. How could he be alive the next day?
Therefore, Gu Xingchuan was definitely not human at all.
But this time Song Yi didn’t show his timidity. Instead, he took a sip of the soy milk in the cup, and smiled lightly. “It’s not bad, but it’s still a little worse than me.”
“You’re bragging.” Gu Xingchuan raised his eyebrows and pouted, with a look of disbelief.
Song Yi remained calm. Anyway, no one could see through this lie, so it was fine to say anything. “Since you haven’t seen it, you’ll say it was just bragging. This shows you don’t know anything.”
Gu Xingchuan was about to speak when Song Yi shrank and bent over suddenly. His shoulders violently twitched. Gu Xingchuan was startled and he rushed forward to support Song Yi’s body. “What’s wrong with you?”
“Calf cramps…” Song Yi’s face lost all sense of colour.
Gu Xingchuan helped him sit back on the stool, squatted down and lifted his ankle onto his thigh. He lightly squeezed the muscles of Song Yi’s calf, and laughed playfully. “With you like this, is better than me?”
The warm palms slightly relieved the cramped and tense muscles, and the kneading was very comfortable. Song Yi leaned against the back of the chair, looking down on him. In his heart, he scolded out, Bastard. Weren’t these leg cramps caused by you? If I was not pregnant, with my excellent physique, I wouldn’t be deficient in calcium, nor would I have leg cramps.
Until here, Song Yi felt a little angry. He snorted, and mocked, “You massage rather well. When you lose your job in the future, you can still make a living on this.”
Gu Xingchuan raised his head and squinted his eyes evilly. “If I’m going to lose my job, I would be a bed accompaniment at your house and feed you every day.”
Song Yi glared at him and chuckled. “No need, my family’s temple is small. I can’t afford a great god like yourself.”
Gu Xingchuan glanced at him, and said in an unhappy tone, “Today we are going to Palm Springs to play. There are rock climbing and mountaineering events. Since you are sick, let’s go to the hot springs instead ba.”
As he spoke, Gu Xingchuan pinched Song Yi’s thigh through his pajamas, expressing his dissatisfaction with his actions.
Now that Song Yi’s leg no longer hurt, he was in a bad mood. If he did go rock climbing, wouldn’t he then have to rely on Gu Xingchuan? Unwilling to do so, he raised his foot and kicked Gu Xingchuan’s shoulder.
Gu Xingchuan was unbalanced and he almost fell back. Luckily, he quickly stabilized his body, stared at him for a second with wolf-like eyes, then stood up suddenly. Gu Xingchuan held Song Yi’s thin ankle, and pushed his knees onto his chest. “En? Your leg doesn’t hurt anymore?”
This wide posture was incredibly ambiguous. Song Yi still had some lingering fears and he glared back. “It doesn’t hurt anymore.”
Gu Xingchuan quickly lowered his head and kissed him on the corner of his mouth, and said in a low voice, “I’m useless. Letting you still have the strength to kick people.”
Song Yi glanced at him and turned his face away calmly. “Hurry up and call a car.”
“Okay.” Gu Xingchuan pinched his jaw and kissed him firmly before releasing him.
Los Angeles was very close to Palm Springs. Two hours later, Song Yi got out of the car, and into a desert tourist city with dazzling blue sky, green palm trees swaying along in rows on the road, with a cupid statue fountain working tirelessly.
They happened to be at the Palm Springs Film Festival, and moviegoers could get access to the film projects. Song Yi noted that one of his favorite theatrical film directors was on the list, so he excitedly booked two movie tickets, planning to feast his eyes there.
The movie theater was located on the fourth floor of the shopping mall. Song Yi and Gu Xingchuan walked into the elevator and saw an ethnic Chinese couple who were doing too much PDA2Public Display of Affection.
The lady was holding a bunny doll that was almost half the size of a human in her arms. Its fur was velvety and had light pink ears, hanging down from the side of its chubby face, and carrying an orange carrot on its back, which was very cute.
Song Yi took a second look and thought for a while. He could buy one for Song Jie’s baby, but he was unsure with that big size, if it would be possible to ship it back home.
Gu Xingchuan noticed his gaze, crossed his arm, and touched his elbow. He asked softly, “Do you want it?”
Song Yi nodded, lowered his voice and said, “I’ll check where it’s sold at.”
Just after he finished speaking, the young couple standing in front seemed to have a little conflict. The lady hugged her boyfriend’s arm and coquettishly coaxed, “Don’t be mad at Simon anymore. You are the handsomest in my heart!”
The man teased and asked, “How handsome am I?”
“More handsome than Gu Xingchuan!” The girl laughed loudly, her tone exaggerated.
Gu Xingchuan burst out laughing, and held the brown sunglasses on the bridge of his nose with one hand. Song Yi reminded softly, “The couple is flirting, don’t disturb them.”
Gu Xingchuan puffed softly, “We are a couple. It’s they who are disturbing us.”
Song Yi was stunned. He involuntarily blurted out, “You think we are a couple?”
Gu Xingchuan was stunned by his question. His face looked slightly bad. “What do you think our relationship is then?”
In his heart, Song Yi shouted, Aren’t we sex friends? When did we become lovers? This relationship is progressing too fast.
He didn’t answer this question. The two entered the movie theater, and Gu Xingchuan kept quiet, bearing a sullen face.
Song Yi quietly appreciated this literary film. Truly fit for a director he liked. The cinematography was delicate and warm, bearing a tragic tone, but full of artistic sense.
Halfway into the film as Song Yi was immersed into it, Gu Xingchuan suddenly turned his head and leaned close to his ear. His cool lips rubbed against his earlobe, the warm breath enveloped the sensitive skin behind his ears. Song Yi trembled uncontrollably. His heart skipped a beat. “What are you doing?”
Gu Xingchuan questioned seriously, “What do you think our relationship is?”
Song Yi glanced at him. Seeing that he didn’t seem to be joking, he steadily replied, “Did you not want us to be sex friends? Your goal is achieved.”
Gu Xingchuan’s gaze fixed on him, like a nail bearing down, piercing into him. Bathed in this sharp gaze, Song Yi pursed his lips and cleared his throat.
After a while, Gu Xingchuan raised his hand and squeezed his cheek. He forced the words against his teeth, “You are the first person who dares treat me like this.”
Song Yi rubbed his sore cheeks, feeling inexplicably uncomfortable.
After Gu Xingchuan said this, his flame was immediately doused. When the movie was over, he gave Song Yi a cold look, then got up and went to the garage to pick up the car.
Song Yi sensed Gu Xingchuan was somewhat angry, but he didn’t know what the anger was for. Although he knew that he was very attractive, that still wouldn’t have Gu Xingchuan fall in love with him after they slept a few times together. This was too unscientific.
He shook his head and walked to the mall entrance to wait for the car to go to a scenic spot.
As it was sunset, there was an endless stream of people passing by. Among the loud and boisterous noise, a familiar voice sounded behind him, filled with elation.
Song Yi turned around, surprised. Shen Li was dressed in cool clothes, as he stood in front of an ice cream stand, holding a cone in his hand, waving at him excitedly.
Song Yi was at a loss for what to do. He didn’t think he would see Shen Li here.
Shen Li rushed towards him and wanted to hug him, but when he realized that he had a cone in his hand, he stopped and grinned brightly. “Sure enough, I managed to meet you here.”
“Huh?” Song Yi thought. Sure enough?
Shen Li nodded embarrassedly. His eyes lit up. “I saw the Los Angeles song you shared, and I wondered if you would go on vacation in Los Angeles, so I chose this honeymoon. I didn’t actually expect it but it’s really you!”
Song Yi’s soul returned to himself. He was not very pleased with Shen Li’s behavior that crossed the line, so he smiled politely, “We do seem to have some form of fate…”
Shen Li’s expression froze. He didn’t seem to capture the enthusiasm he wanted; he was not used to this. With a long “oh” as if in grievance, he said, “You don’t wish to see me?”
“No, it’s nice to see you.” Song Yi smiled slightly, but the smile didn’t reach the depths of his eyes.
Shen Li bit his lip, then stared behind Song Yi for a while. Song Yi turned his neck. His back stiffened immediately. A familiar looking man was walking closer.
The man looked less than thirty years old, his face was pale and bloodless in the tropical weather. His lips were thin, and his jaw clean-shaved with his facial features rather reserved. When he looked at people, it felt like one was being targeted by a wet poisonous snake.
Seeing Song Yi for a moment, the man froze. A strange expression flashed across his face before it disappeared and he nonchalantly asked, “Little Li, he is a friend of yours?
Shen Li nodded, not daring to face Song Yi. He lowered his head and said in a low voice, “I’m sorry, Song Yi. Zhou Moquan is my fiance.”
Song Yi calmly replied, “That’s good, I wish you both happiness.”
No wonder Zhou Moquan happened to meet Shen Li when he went to Haibin City. The Mr. Zhou who held a celebratory banner on Shen Li’s birthday should be Zhou Moquan.
How funny that they actually ended up together.
Song Yi and Zhou Moquan had a grudge. Everyone knew about it, inside and outside the circle, but Shen Li still chose Zhou Moquan as his fiancé, which was really ironic.
The surrounding atmosphere was making Song Yi feel uncomfortable, incredibly nauseating.
Shen Li struggled in his thoughts, raising his head in embarrassment. Then suddenly, his irises contracted. Underneath the collar, Song Yi’s slender neck was littered with hickeys, as if bearing the shape of rose petals.
“You have a boyfriend?” Shen Li opened his mouth, his lips trembling.
Zhou Moquan exhaled lightly, wanting to speak, but instead, pressed his lips tightly.
Song Yi noticed Shen Li’s gaze, and raised his hand against his neck, thinking how to answer this question.
Then, a black Bentley rampaged and stopped beside him, its engine buzzing and roaring. Gu Xingchuan pushed open the driver’s door, his long legs striding out.
He wore a stylist T-shirt and jeans, as his defined nose bridge had sunglasses placed on top. With a tall and sharp-looking attire, he looked too much like a fashionable model in a magazine, if one could just ignore a rabbit doll under his arm. With that, he looked like a rebellious children’s show host.
